aeroplanes are unnatural. homosexuality, however, has been observed in all manner of species from monkeys to penguins.

That doesn't make it natural.

what definition of natural do you go by?

maybe we should stop fighting and all be friends?

But airplanes are unnatural. Only birds are supposed to fly. Should we all be disgusted at airplanes as well?

Comparing aeroplanes with birds? wow

Everyone has their different views regarding homosexuality. Some will say it's a natual behavior for a minority of humans and others will say it's an unnatural, deviant behavior. If you feel it's natural then stick with it. Not everyone will have the same views.

Fine. Computers are unnatural. Cars are unnatural. Plastics are unnatural. Alot of what you see in life is unnatual. Should we all be disgusted by them as well?

So infertile heterosexuals should be banned from entering into relationships? Condoms should be outlawed? Oral sex should be abolished? Do heterosexuals only have sex to procreate?

They can do what they want. I don't care.

What bothers me though is knowing that they are rasing children in that kind of enviroment. It's unfair to them since they don't know any better.

How many gay familys do you know? How do you know the type of environment ALL KIDS from a homosexual family grow up in. You don't. MOST homosexual parents actually have friends or relatives be the "father" or "mother" figure in the relationship. And guess what? Not all of them turn out to be nutjobs. I'm sure there are a few rare cases where kids raised in a homosexual household turn in to crazy people... You know where stereotypes come from? A small sample of a certain group. You, right now, are making a stereotype about homosexual households and the children that are raised there.

How many gay families do YOU know? Where are you getting your information? I seriously doubt most homosexual parents have friends or relatives be the father or mother figure. It makes perfect sense to assume that most children raised by homosexual parents don't know any better. Don't accuse him of anything if you don't have anything to back what you're saying.

where's your backing then? sexuality is not something that you learn. If your daddy had to teach you how to like women instead of men, you're probably gay anyway.

most men are naturally attracted to women. some men are naturally attracted to men. Who raised you will not make a blind bit of difference.

No it isn't.

There are studies that prove children raised by homosexual parents are on average more mentally stable and more academically productive than children of straight couples.

Why do you and others keep having to ask his definition of natural? He's given several reasons, scroll back and look for yourself. You can't just refute everything he says, he believes what he wants and you just can't seem to let that go.

No he hasn't. I have followed his argument - if you can call it that. He never stated what is natural, just posed an idiotic question while stating that homosexuality is unnatural.

[QUOTE="leilamayhem"][QUOTE="cjek"]Well being gay myself I wouldn't ever be in this situation, but I don't think I'd mind. However I do believe parents have a right to be upset about it to some extent, because obviously their child isn't going to go on to have their own children and continue the family into another generation, which can be a shock and sometimes a disappointment. But that's no reason to reject the son/daughter; what would that achieve?Deihmos

Many gay people have children.

That is so wrong. Last I heard they were teaching kids a new form of family - the gay family. When I was growing up it was nuclear, extended etc. Liberalism is becoming a serious problem.

They've done research, the ONLY affect a gay family has on the kid is they have a stronger tendancey to be homophobic. GG

They do, they guide the child as best they can and make sure they're on the right path in sexuality. But if he somehow falls into homosexuality, whether an experience, other influences, etc. they probably can't help him on their own.

[QUOTE="TobiasFunke1"]but only if they were super gay and ran around winking at boys and talking with a womans voice. if they were normal i'd just tell them to stop being gay as long as they live in my houseSolid_Snake325

you can'r just stop being gay It's not a choice, it's just the way some people are. I mean, could you choose to find men attractive just cos your dad told you to?

You can't get rid of your homosexuality by daddy telling you to. People go to professional places to do it.

so if your parents don't have any influence over sexuality, why is gay parents a bad thing?

They do, they guide the child as best they can and make sure they're on the right path in sexuality. But if he somehow falls into homosexuality, whether an experience, other influences, etc. they probably can't help him on their own.

So do you think one of these "professionals" could make you gay?

Your argument would hold up if it wasn't completely baseless. Parents don't have an influence on sexuality - only promiscuity.

If they do, that's cool. Right now I have quite a few homosexual friends and there is nothing that sets them apart from my heterosexual friends aside from who they are interested in.

Now if they ended up like Chris Crocker, I would then have to lay the law down.

I'd love my kid regardless. I don't look at being gay as some awful thing. I'm a straight ally, and to me, being gay is just another part of who you are. It's not a reason to get riled up *shrugs*

Well if they came out of the closet then I would say, "there you are, its dinner time. If he or she told me they were gay I would say "and?".

They have about as much control over both, which is either very much or very little depending on how you look at it.

You can't indoctrinate or force a certain sexuality on your kids, but you can certainly control how much they express their sexuality.
