I am? I just don't believe that if your child is gay you've somehow f'ed up in their upbringing. How exactly does one accidentally turn their kid gay?
Solid_Snake325

give him barbies.

jk :P

never did me any harm... *ahem* :P

me neither. But I did take barbie's clothes off sometimes. Does that mean I was more gay or more heterosexual?

haha, i bet your dad didn't teach you how to do that.

I still don't get how you can associate a childs sexuality with their upbringing. most gay people come from mother-father families, and most kids in mother-mother / father-father families are straight.

I'd honestly say "Wow, way to go, I don't care." and move on with my business and treat them normally. It's really not that big of a deal.

i just find that running and lifting weights is good enough exercise for me.

its actually just the fat people that sit on their asses watching sports and stuffing their faces that annoys me.

but lets get back on subject! :D

Its not that I don't like sports...i love going to basketball and football games, i just think America is WAY too obsessed with sports. I have friends who can rattle off the names and stats of the starting line of every team in the Big 12 but couldn't tell you a single fact about any of the presidential candidates.

There's a difference between being intolerant of someone because of something they have no control over and being intolerant of someone for being a bigot. I assumed most people understood that.

ALL gays come from dysfunctional families. FACT.

Who knows, I just laugh at the sweet justice of all those conservative religious people getting caught having gay relationships.. Where they say that they sinned, or they are sick.. Not that they are gay

That being said its fine, in the end this is the 21st century people need to grow up alittle and realize there are far more important issues in life then a persons sexuality.. Specially at the fact that homosexual relationships have been prevalient as far back as recorded history in human beings.. Not to mention animals have had the exact same kind of behavior.. IN the end imo its a religious bias that makes no sense and only perpatuates hate.

there's endless legal factors if a person is gay that affects everyone, animals that have acted in such ways had there chemicals altered, and this is in no way a religieous issue but a moral one.

had their chemicals altered? the evil gay scientist conspirators have tampered with the animals!

How is being gay morally wrong? How did you come to that conclusion, and why is it such an absolute rule? Morals are not a fixed set of laws. different for different people. you saying that homosexuality is morally wrong without giving any 'why' is no more meaningful than simply saying "I think its bad so don't do it!"

Doesn't change the fact that you want him to be more tolerant toward others, when you yourself refuse to accept his opinion on the matter. That seems a little hipicritical to me.

Our society puts an emphasison entertainment and in return athletes are payed what they are worth. Someone like Tom Brady generates much more money then I do, hence why he gets payed more.

I have no more obligation to 'accept' his opinion than I do a racist or a sexist. Acceptance comes from understanding, and there's almost no way he could justify his beliefs in a way that would make me understand.

You don't need to explain the economics to me. Just because they generate that much money doesn't mean what they do is inherently worth what they get paid.

I do not know, I guess I would be uneasy about it because I would not have any grandchildren but I'll get over it in a year or two. Unless I had two kids and one of them is straight then I'm all good. However, regardless if my child is a homosexual or a lesbian or not, their still not having sex in my house. I don't care how much they hate me.

So if your son or daughter came to you and told they were gay what would you do?

well I wouldn't support his choice but I wouldn't hate him or anything like that. He has every right to do whatever he pleases. Interventions are best left to the experts.

nope not one of them are bad, they are and they where all good people... look i've seen life make the worst of people ALL of my family except my mom, dad, bro, sis are dead almost dead or in jail for everything from robbery to murder, so what i'm saying is statisticly a person growing up in a middle ****neighborhood with a mom and dad isn't going to kill anyone, and i know you can't put that same statistic on gay people growing up but everyone needs to understand that your a lot more likley to be gay if you suffered some kind of mental physcial or sexual trama, because your not born that way. and i also wanted to note that my cousin i talked about earlier was verbelly abused by my uncle questioning his gender and other things that would get me banned... don't ever tell me that had nothing to do with it

You can't indoctrinate or force a certain sexuality on your kids, but you can certainly control how much they express their sexuality.

you can help by not bringing your kid up in a f'ed up childhood, it's always been natural for man-woman woman-man relashionships... if you don't know people aren't born gay

ALL gays come from dysfunctional families. FACT.

oh wait...

your trying too desperatly to piss someone off and failing miserably, you have failed

I am? I just don't believe that if your child is gay you've somehow f'ed up in their upbringing. How exactly does one accidentally turn their kid gay?

ok.... this is all true and like i said before my neighbors are gay and they've both talked about there rough childhood my dad's co-worker was lesbian and she was abused by her husband to the point of him breaking her bones, and my mom's cousin who she grew up with all her life was gay and he had a very rough childhood no money, no food, uncle beating my aunt, and even had to get his clothes and bedding out of the dumpster. and in 97' he died of aids

are they bad people?

nope not one of them are bad, they are and they where all good people... look i've seen life make the worst of people ALL of my family except my mom, dad, bro, sis are dead almost dead or in jail for everything from robbery to murder, so what i'm saying is statisticly a person growing up in a middle ****neighborhood with a mom and dad isn't going to kill anyone, and i know you can't put that same statistic on gay people growing up but everyone needs to understand that your a lot more likley to be gay if you suffered some kind of mental physcial or sexual trama, because your not born that way. and i also wanted to note that my cousin i talked about earlier was verbelly abused by my uncle questioning his gender and other things that would get me banned... don't ever tell me that had nothing to do with it

im gay.

grew up in a nice family, lots of money, lots of friends.

what now?

owned. :P

I would take a bible and hit them over the head and tell them to change back to straight. It would work because the divine glory of Christ is on my side.

/sarcasm

I would probably be surprised, but not appalled.

I wouldn't care. There's no reason to be concerned with the sexuality of anyone other than yourself.

It wouldn't bother me at all.

Wherever my son's dick would go has nothing to do with why I'd love him.

I wouldn't care for it one bit. I'd sell him/her, give away or something. I would be too ashamed, honestly. I want my son playing baseball, football and other sports. My roof, my rules and rule is everyone is straight.fabfour1960

o.o What the hell does sexual orientation have to do with whether or not you play sports? I'm straight and am not into sports...

A 1999 review by researcher Bruce Bagemihl shows that there's homosexual behavior, not necessarily sex,

what was that again???

A good smack upside the head will straighten him out... :P

Really though, if I had a gay son, he'd still be my son. Even if I didn't necessarily agree with his lifestyle, what am I supposed to do, abandon him?
