[QUOTE="Lief_Ericson"]That is when I clicked the X on my firefox......:| I mean I disliekd Spirited away aswell and not seeing that on the top 10 just made the whole entire list invalid. KiKi delivery service was also not on there And that Disney Rat movie with patton oswald was just one of Pixars most terrible movies iv'e seen. How is Akira not in top 10?
MrLions
And ranked higher than My Neighbor Totoro:?
I'm probably one of the few people here to think that Beauty and the Beast actually deserved the top spot, though everything is subjective. I believe the Lion King should have been higher, Toy Story 1 should have been above Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo should have been higher and so should have Snow White.
Batman: Mask of Phantasm
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Akira
Toy Story 3
South Park
Snow White
The Incredibles
These movies were no good. All hype. And why were there so many 3D films? What, 10 years of 3D films erases 60+ years of 2D animation? This list is terrible. I'd say only 1 pixar film deserves to be on that list.

Are you 14?
Animated Batman movies are hardly worthy of being in this list. Same thing with most Pixar films, so overrated.

Dude, I'm 22. I also happen to be a big bat fan. Perhaps it's not top 25 animated movie material, but it's certainly one of the best batman movies out there. It does a much better job in the characterization department than either Burton or Nolan. It explores the origin and the present day without a huge running time, yet it never feels rushed. Kevin Conroy IS batman. The scene where he suits up for the first time is one of the greatest moments in the character's history (and I include the comics). if you don't like this movie, then you don't understand batman.Worst list I've ever seen. Then again, I've never trusted the DVDreviews/film reviews from IGN. Their lists are usually bad too. Spirited Away at #12? BLASPHEMY! No Princess Mononoke at all? Grave of the Fireflies, considered by Roger Ebert to be one of the best anti-war films of all time, not even mentioned?*GASP*
I mean, how does South Park beat some other Ghibli classics or even Disney classics? (also, where is Wallace and Gromit?)
The south park movie even being considered in the top 25 animated movies of all time is a crime against nature.
It making it to the 6 spot is proof of insanity and Satan worshiping.
Really what the *****
And the Incredibles ranked higher than all the Toy story movies:|
Thats it, time to declare war on IGN's movie devision
Join me, my brothers in arms!

I will certainly join you in your army
Seriously I love south park but the movie seemed like an excuse so they could set the world record for most swears in a movie
All of the films, barring South Park, are noteworthy in some way. I'm in awe by the fact that Toystory 2 beat out 1 and 3. I saw 1 two weeks ago, 2 last week, and 3 today, and I have to say that 1 and 3 are far superior to 2.
I absolutely love the Incredibles (if it is ever on TV I will watch it) but I can't say it deserves #3.
I haven't seen How To Train Your Dragon, so I can't say too much about it, but I'm wondering how it beat out Alladin or placed higher than Lion King (ITS FREAKING LION KING, GREATEST MOVIE OF ANYONE'S CHILDHOOD. EVER.)
Batman MOTP I just saw 2 days ago (It's on Netflix's streaming thing) and it's pretty good. I was engaged throughout the whole movie, and it covers some dark topics in a really good manner, such as the virulent nature of vengeance, but I'm not sure how it beat out some of the more amazing Disney movies, or at least Monsters Inc. That movie made me cry like a baby.
Monsters Inc made you cry? O_O I also can't fathom how TS2 was better than 3 or 1. I know it's the guys opinion and all (he probably hasn't seen half the movies he listed), but I didn't even enjoy TS2. I genuinely liked the first and third one. I wouldn't say How To Train Your Pet Dragon is even worth the top 20. I think the guy just wanted to look unbiased by slapping in a healthy mix of 3D and 2D films. Also, where the heck are some of the claymation/stop motion films that are great? Wallace and Gromit is excellent, especially Curse of the Wererabbit. That film won an academy award for best animation over Howl's Moving Castle if I recall! All of the films, barring South Park, are noteworthy in some way. This is what I was thinking. Either that or Mononoke. http://www.metacritic.com/film/highscores.shtml Spirited Away is a beast. It even did well in reviews here in the US. I mean, it's in the top 10 highest rated films of all time on MC.I think Spirited Away should've been #1.

I don't think just because all three Toy Story films turned out to be amazing for most people means that animation is lacking much... I just blame Pixar for being able to handle their materials without ever screwing up. If having all three Toy Story's on one's best animated film list makes animation seem like a lacking medium, then I guess the same could be said with live-action when people give the same treatment to the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings trilogies (And I see people include all those films A LOT in their lists). That list started out good - masterpieces like My Neighbor Totoro, Ratatouille, and The Lion King absolutely deserve a spot on the list. But then it progressively went downhill the closer we got to #1. Did they have to include all three Toy Story movies? They can't be lacking animated movies that badly. And the South Park movie at #6 of all time? Really?

Other than that, I can't believe how much praise the South Park movie gets. I love the show and all, but I could never take the series serious enough to include it with the big dogs in animation.

I honestly don't see the praise for South Park either. Especially that movie. It's a generic comedy animation that rarely ever goes bold and tries to tell a deep plot. It all devolves into something that would be considered obscene with some disgusting or shock humor. There's been a few episodes that aren't like that, but it's usually the same themes repeated over and over again. I wouldn't say the SP studio should be put aside the big guns such as Disney, Disney Pixar, Studio Ghibli, or even Aardman Features.[QUOTE="Loco_Live"][QUOTE="Laserwolf65"] epic fail for calling batman mask of the phantasm not goodLaserwolf65

that was a pretty terrible list.
IronBeaver
Yeah, Lion King must be in the top 5 and Aladdin should be on the list. And what the heck Toy Story 3 on #13. It should be on top 5 also IMO
Beauty and the Beast deserves that top spot, but The Lion King is way too low. Not only is Beauty and the Beast an absolutely fantastic movie, but it was also very important to the Disney Animation Studios for consolidating the formula that The Little Mermaid had created, a formula that would turn all their animations into massive blockbusters until the release of Tarzan.
I feel that it limited itself to only kid-oriented animation films and Anime, not a bad thing, but I felt that made it missing out on a few greats. The adding of South Park was pretty funny to me. I still wish that these kinds of lists stopped neglecting The Adventures of Prince Achmed.
