I largely disagree. Admittedly, I'm a bit slow to responding to this.

You're basically saying how we all need to be equal... in that case it's nothing I say will make any sense to you.
Just think of this. This world isn't a fair place, you have to try to do your best to survive. It is not mine or anybody's responsibility for your shortcomings in life whether you can avoid them or not. The US didn't get to where it did today by holding the people's hands. We have a responsibility to watch out for ourselves. If you can't take care of yourself... why should anybody help you?
If the poor have it so bad... why did in the past few months over 20,000 farming jobs get moved to Mexico because no American wanted to work them? Despite what the news says, there are parts of this country with labor shortages for certain markets and they have resorted to moving them out of the country or hiring illegal immigrants who will work them. The American people have gotten so lazy that we feel we are to good to work these jobs. Tell me... is it my responsibility to care for those who refuse the jobs? Is it the responsibility of the state to make sure you can't fail?
If you believe that,, there is really nothing about a free market that you'll understand.
[QUOTE="Wasdie"]Hmm. . . . Impeach! Impeach!I can see you are on the left side of things.:PThe Republicans would pretty much be killing their chance to take back the white house in 2012 if they do this.

That's not to say equality can never be achieved. We've made more achievements in creating an equal society in a hundred years than one thousand years in between then. It would be foolish to think we should stay the same forever.
Definitely not impeached, but I'm sure there will be 10,000 Ken Starrs up Obama's ass for the next 2 years. wstfld
No there won't. He's done nothing impeachable. Clinton, while I think the intrustion into his personal life was BS, did do something impeachable.
Yeah, there were some people outside my Post Office asking me for money to help impeach him. Its wasting money!!!! Because i bet anyone that he wont get impeached! Plus, I think Impeachment is passing the line. I know Obama is a bad president but Impeachment is... almost extreme. bbkkristian
On what grounds do they figure they can impeach him? He would have had to have broken the law in some manner. Presidents aren't impeached just because someone disagrees with their policy. Damned idiots.
Here is a link to a blog post that I made. It is a lengthy post, but I filled it with valid points. http://xcocon.weebly.com/ZCatan

What?
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."

Did you follow the thread of conversation there? There are, apparently, some folks that figure, somehow, that Obama can be impeached because of the 24th Amendment. That's what he's facepalming, not the Amendment itself.

This was taken from the linked blog:
"Today, around 3:06 p.m., I was up at my local pool, sunbathing on a long chair, when I heard the people next to me say, "What is that? Is it a parachute? How is he going to land?" I got up and looked in the direction in which they were looking, and sure enough, about half a mile away to the east, about 500 feet off the ground, I saw a whiter-than-average oval object hovering in the sky.
At first I thought that it could pass as a parachute or a para-sail or a weather balloon, but as I observed it for 10-15 seconds, I could tell that it wasn't normal. It's flight pattern was too strange. It descended slowly to the left, and then I watched it turn from a flat 180 degree angle to tilted 210 degree angle, and then it ascended quickly to the right back to where it started.
The first thing that popped into my head was, This is a demon; God has control over demons; God can use me to rebuke the demon. So, I closed my eyes and said a quick prayer: "Dear God, if this is a demon, then in the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke you, demon, and I pray that you will never again come back."
I opened my eyes, and sure enough, it disappeared for good. There's no way that a parachute or a para-sail or a weather balloon could vanish from the wide open sky out of my sight within 5 seconds. I believe that it was a demon, because the Bible says that demons, which are fallen angels who rebelled against God alongside Satan, have power over the sky, and they have the ability to appear as angels of light, deceiving many, and leading many people astray from the Truth of Jesus Christ.
By the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells within me, and in the name of Jesus Christ, I can do anything, and that includes rebuking and casting out demons."
I'm starting to think the blog is satire.

"Let's focus on that first sentence: "The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens." This defines what the title "natural born citizen" means. Not only does the child have to be born in the country, but BOTH PARENTS must also already be at least citizens of that country."
No. That is not what "natural-born citizen" means under United States law. It means that you were born in the United States. That's the only requirement, unless you can find actual legal proof to the contrary.
The blog also flat-out lies by claiming he hasn't produced a birth certificate.
Fail for spouting Birther conspiracy theories.

That blog also rests on the mistaken premise that one particular grouping of words ("law of nations") in one section of the Constitution referes to a specific text written by some randon dude years earlier. Much of the blog author's argument rests on a certain section of that mistakenly attributed text. Pitiful.

[quote="Talking Points Memo"] "This might be our last chance to save freedom in America." That's the message a piece of direct mail sent out by the National Campaign for an Impeachment Inquiry, a project of The Conservative Caucus, which is calling -- as their name would suggest -- for the impeachment of President Barack Obama. Why you ask? Well, for one, there's "ObamaCare," which TCC brands as an effort to "control the people." Also, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro like Obama and his "march of America toward Socialism, or worse." The flyer, obtained by TPMMuckraker, includes a "national ballot of 5,000,000 registered voters" on "Whether Congress Should Launch An Impeachment Inquiry Into President Barack Hussein Obama's Assault On Our Constitution." nocoolnamejimLink OT thoughts? Isolated far right fringe group or a realistic prelude to what to expect if the Republicans take over one or both houses of Congress in November? Simply red meat fundraising letter or actual potential Republican policy? I'd like to think that Republicans will remember the lessons from the Clinton years and not launch impeachment proceedings, but I have a sneaky feeling that there's a realistic (greater than 10%) chance that Republicans would indeed spend the next two years launching inquiry after inquiry and seize on anything they can to impeach President Obama. I don't think there's much in the way of "moderate" Republicans any longer. Full Mailer here
Repubs can kiss the 2012 election goodbye if they try that.
