Just wondered if we as a whole would be okay with it.

When I say microchiping, I mean them placing a small microchip inside you.

I say H#@ no...

What say you?

I would never want that to happen, ever! I was even a bit wary when they started putting chips in passports, soon i'll be sitting under a bridge with tinfoil on my head!

I ask because they might try to promote this graduall. Like for instance, instead of cash they would make the chips become your new source of currency. Honestly I would be one of those guys living out in the woods.

meh, if i have rolled over to comply with obama care, i cant see me objecting in any way other than verbally. mandatedfederal registration is already in place so that would be nothing new, where mandating consumption and behavior i seem to be fine with.

I think you are right, they will most likely try make us sleepwalk into it, we've pretty much already sleepwalked into a CCTV state. In England, that is....London is crazy covered in cameras!

This is different. They would be sticking something into your body. Who knows what it can do to you? Control your mind, behavior, memory. I would fight it for as long as I live.

how is that any less evil than wishing to control peoples actions under the guides of "the greater good" or the worse argument "to keep health care costs down" when such costs were not a burden on anyone before it was legislated into being. you need to do what we say because we say we have the power to make you do so, is so much more evil on its face than any form of identification.

I can see your beef is with Obama and the government. I'm trying to figure out why you would be okay with it someone being able to control you like that.

i am not ok with it, but chances are i would go with it just because i have no power to do otherwise, just like with any of the other federal mandates i am powerless to object to.

I've been accused of stuff and a camera cleared me, whereas if I had a microchip nobody would bother with their slander. I get that response from people so I say yes.

Yeah definitely not letting that happen. Much like if they put tracking chips in photo ID's (has been proposed in congress before). The day they start doing that is the day I stop carrying photo ID.

You do have hormone regulating microchip. They can induce feelings thus regulating behaviour unconsciously. They can be used to make you permanently more horny. They can be used to transmit your position or your condition and even to know when you are lying. They can be designed to kill you when told to. Though I doubt the gov's cover is so tight they would get away with something like that.

It's a clear violation of the "innocent until proven guilty" principle of law, as well as a violation of privacy rights, as it assumes that everyone's location and means of commerce need to be tracked "just in case" they want to do something illegal. I'd resist.

it's going to happen but... it'll start consensual. Businesses, banks, internet technology service providers will offer sweet advantages for getting these awesome chips, and then eventually all services will be directed through and it dependent on the chip, so everybody will be obligated to get it to fit in with the expanding society. most people will believe it's for the best because they will have the allusion that they chose to do this. Of course some people will resist, but they'll end up on the fringes of society, with limited resources because all the resources will be owned by a few companies that employ this technology and they will not have access to the services made available. yep.

look at credit cards, look at paperless transcations look at everything thats happening around you. Of course everybody is going to believe that it was our choice, but it really wasn't.

hopefully these micochips include an option to send thoughts and emotions to other people so we can get over the complications of using inferior means of communication known as words. but then again somebody would probably hack the communication channels and only transmit speific messages and blocks certain thoughts so people would become mindless subservants to specific factions or one ruler.
