You are aware that there is a plethora of bands from back in the day that go unnoticed today?
and there are some that break the mold and will be remembered for decades. Fallout Boy may be one of those bands, that's what i'm saying

not sure how old you are but it's my generation that's going to dictate what's classic in the future
Sorry to break this to you, but your generation is now and thus FOB is now. It wont be until the next 4-5 generations that decide that.
And they wont last because FOB are a fad, their current fanbase consist mainly of angsty teens and pre-teens, most of which will grow out of it at some point. And before you pull the "Beatles had a screaming teen fanbase too" FOB just dont have versatility or songwriting skills that a lot of the classic bands have.
sorry to break it to you but songwriting skills mean absolutely nothing to today's teenagers. Today it's about emotion, which teens of today could connect. And 5 years from will will still be MY generation
