Anyway, getting back to the topic, this troll guy is one sick man.

Asberger's Syndrome...What kind of sense does that make? I have that and you don't see me superimposing the face of a girl who died by train on Thomas the Tank Engine.

I don't really care, people are trolling all the time and are saying much worse things about celebreties and stuff, why is this so bad?Because this is a girl who killed herself, had a loving family, and had her final farewells ruined by some stupid **** who wanted to say the worst possible things to the family to torment them.
Shock jocks do this with celebrities, but celebrities are more public individuals than most because of their level of exposure in the media. Though still bad to make a tasteless joke about a deceased celebrity, this is a non-celebrity girl who had severe issues in her life which ultimately led to her suicide. Making a joke about that is ******* awful by any measure.
It's disgusting.

OK. :POk to what? This is a serious issue and it depresses me to see that someone would torment the family of a dead girl for kicks.
[QUOTE="Invisible_Kid2"]
I don't think he should have gotten any time. Honestly, what's next? You tell someone that they don't look good in that shirt and they have you arrested for emotional distress? Sure, it was in poor taste, but did he have to go to jail? There's the whole "one girl tried to commit suicide over it" argument, but that was from being wrongfully accused by others. "Yesterday one of his victim's parents hit out at Facebook, calling on the website to do more to tackle the problem after it emerged that one girl wrongly accused by others of posting the messages had attempted suicide." The question is, was it 'his' fault, or the fault of others piss poor judgement?
cheese_game619
I don't know what he posted but it's not below these people to post gore and porn so I can see how it could cause further emotional distress to someone in that situation.
I know it happened in the UK, but honestly, what's the difference between what he did, and what the WBC do?OK. :P[QUOTE="parkurtommo"][QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"]

Tarnishing memorial sites, saying she deserved it, sending an image of a corpse filled with maggots with the caption "I guess I tasted good after all, Mom and Dad."
This goes far beyond trolling. This is sadistic.

Ok, sure, it's horrible. But there is so much horror going on in the world I don't really take anything seriously anymore. :|Another well-written article by the Daily Mail I see. "autistic loner", "alchoholic". Nice!majoras_wrath:lol: The guy deserves it, but this is weird.

Indeed. I believe the Foreign Secretary banned them from coming over here. And this guy deserves it. Free Speech has nothing to do with the deliberate targetting of people in their most desperate of times and posting these deliberately hurtful and tormenting things just to cause distress. He never even knew any of the victims. He was just doing it for the lolz. (EDIT) found a link about the WBC being banned from entering the UK http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/7898972.stmWhat he did was mean, but it certainly wasn't anything out of the ordinary. He wanted a reaction from the family and that was exactly what he got. He did exactly what he intended to do. People need to learn to just ignore people like that. He didn't deserve jail time.
Totally agree with it, that was some pretty cruel comments, like the Mother's Day thing. Seriously, someone should beat this guy up real bad.
now Im wondering if this really true or not[QUOTE="Serraph105"]
isn't the Daily Mail essentially The Enquirer of the UK?
TheShadowLord07
I wouldn't say the Daily Mail is essentially The Enquirer...that would be The Sun or former News of the World (which is no longer running) and maybe a couple others...but not the Mail...mind I think a lot of papers are turning into the Enquirer...
On topic, while we do have freedom of speech here in the UK, how would some of you like it if it was one of your family members that had died and some guy went posting horrible stuff on their memorial pages? I sure wouldn't and therefore believe he got what he deserved. One girl's page he put something so horrible on the news couldn't share it.
What he did is very sick, however it shouldn't put him in jail. Doesn't it strike anybody else as a bit scary that someone could be put in jail for months for posting something online? Think about all of the ways that someone could use this against pretty much anybody that they didn't like. Someone could get your logins for facebook, myspace, etc.. and start posting stuff like this that could land you in jail. Not to mention that freedsom of speech should keep someone out of criminal courts for something like this. Maybe it could go to civil court, but it shouldn't be a criminal issue. I can see that the UK has no real freedom of speech.
[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]Can't say I disagree with that....free speech ends when you endanger others and he apparently did.walkingdreamhow did he endager them?? He trolled them but how did he endager them?
I wondered this myself. The girls were already dead. He clearly didn't endanger them. I didn't see any real threats toward the families.
... Why are those west minister or w/e church of psychos still here?JigglyWiggly_:lol:

Wow that guy sounds like the biggest jerkbag, and I'm sure he'll love his time in prison.
I love freedom of speech and all, but this takes it way too far. Going on a damn tribute page for that, its wrong.
Not worth putting him in jail, it's a waste of taxpayer money. What I wish they'd do though is just look the other way and/or just give legal protection to anyone who beatsthis dude's ass. It honestly wouldn't be that hard, just call it "provoked" or "temporary insanity".
uh err no. :P Maybe later... ;pparkurtommoparkurtommo isn't really into the whole blogging thing…Yet. Hid your blogs did ya?

I have asperger's, and while I'm too young to drink I'm pretty sure a lot of "Normal" people would do this too. This guy wasn't doing it because of asperger's, he was doing it because he was an *******.

Do you? This sentencing implies the opposite.
There are 2 problems here.
The troll is disgusting for bullying a death of a person who has no access to this world to defend herself.
Setting up a page open to the public in some form is just down right stupid. You gotta be slapped for doing that.

If you don't want to open yourself up to insulting comments, don't make a public memorial page. Do i like what this kid did? No, but he has the right to do it imo.
