I hate Rotten Tomatoes, their scores are flat out wrong, all the time.LustForSoul
I much prefer Metacritic. Their scores are more accurate imo because it takes into consideration the actual score or number of stars the reviewer is giving the movie as opposed to rotten tomatoes which just categorizes the score as positive or negative. For the record Iron Man 3 currently has a 67 on Metacritic.

They average out the score as well.
How can that happen? The first reviews have been paid for?76%. Xmen first class started with 94% after 80 reviews. An 86 with less than 20 reviews always ends up high low between 66% and 78%.

Most advance screenings for these kind of films tend to be offered to and attended by critics and blog writers that are already big fans of the genre that tend to exhibit a bit more gushing praise than the average joe would. For this reason the major studios over the last few years have been seriously questioning whether they should bother ponying up a ton of dough to hype their upcoming movies in places like the San Diego Comic-con knowing that the reactions of the fans in those forums don't really reflect the opinions of the bulk of the movie-going public beyond the initial weekend.
I saw it today and it's excellent. Easily the best in the Marvel saga.
I loved the dialogue, the humour and the unconventional structure. The other Marvel movies are quite predictable and safe but this one goes wild and it's fun as hell.
For the record I hated IM2 and The Avengers, but I like all the others. I don't know anything about Marvel's heroes except what I see in these movies.
Yeah, I felt it had a crazy structure too.I saw it today and it's excellent. Easily the best in the Marvel saga.

I'm going to see the movie no matter what the critics say, but the change of directors makes me wonder if I'll actually enjoy it or not.
I wouldn't say it's quite that good, but it's a fun watch.aaronmullanIts a fun watch for the fan of Transformers and other Michael Bayish movies. Super Hero movies are juvenile, cliche, and garbage. Shame Iron Man is just a common pop corn flick and not truly art.
Shane Black does the job better than Jon ever hoped for :PI'm going to see the movie no matter what the critics say, but the change of directors makes me wonder if I'll actually enjoy it or not.

OMG, the general consensus on the site is up!
"With the help of its charismatic lead, some impressive action sequences, and even a few surprises, Iron Man 3 is a witty, entertaining adventure and possibly one of Marvel's best yet."
Next week can't come soon enough!

Because it's a crap movie made by a hack writer/director.

Really?Never watched it.Who watches movie adaptations of games anyway? We all know they end up f***** up anyway.Watched it today.Mandarin was a waste of a villian though. How in hell did Ben Kingsley even agree to act in the movie is beyond me.T-Bone91Have you ever actually looked at his acting career? He's probably one of the best actors who's also starred in some amazingly terrible films.
I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it. Going to watch it this weekend.

Like I said, mommy or daddy will have to accompany you since it's PG-13. If you ask politely I'm sure they'll say yes!
