but its true
It was an origin story, that's why.gasmaskman
I understand that, but I don't have to like it. and in the origin story, isn't it more like a pacemaker that he gets over stateside rather than a hole in his sternum?

No, it was the same as in the movie, except that it happened in Vietnam[QUOTE="the_greenzero"]I loved it, The Dark Knight was overrated imo. senses_blank

Ha I knew that was coming, that's why I didn't throw up a flameshield.
There deffinately wasn't enough action for me. I like my super hero movies with more explosions and excitement. It seems like it was trying to be comdey when it was supposed to be an action movie. I hope the Hulk is better.kakkarott23I liked the comedy elements, I just thought there was too much zibba-zabbing.
the word overrated is overrated.
I thought it was pretty good.

I didn't actually want to debate the semantics surrounding the word "overrated", I just had some reservations about the movie.
... for me personally, I would have liked waaaaay more time with him in the suit, rather than spending half the movie in one way or another messing around with that damn hole in his chest.dsmccrackenBecause it wouldnt really be much of a story if it went right to the suit. Also let me guess, you think the dark knight is better
Ironman = win.
I haven't seen The Incredible Hulk, but I will.
In terms of Ironman 2: It will be a second Ironman movie, not a VS or Avengers movie.
The Avengers Movie is a genuine consideration for Marvel. They are hoping that Thor and Captain America movies will prove popular enough to validate an Avengers movie Featuring Thor, Cap, Ironman, Hulk and an undisclosed female Superhero. (Quite possibly Scarlet Witch)

Its not true its you're opinion.....
I don't think he was serious (I hope not).
Good movie, but it didn't really further the genre, which is the mark of a great movie.
As far as just supplying superhero action and it was pretty amazing though
[QUOTE="warbmxjohn"]About a half an hour into the movie I was so disgusted I was gonna walk out, I couldn't believe he was so arrogant and consumed by money, he was glorifying what I hate about America.. Not caring what his weapons did as long as he got the check I was getting SO MAD and ashamed, but in the end he realized the error of his ways and finally placed a higher priority on human lives and his own personal liability for all the damage that was being caused all for his profit margin, the then he stepped up and made up for his mistakes, and I left the theater proud and satisfied. Iron Man was way way way better than I had anticipated. NetYankEagle:lol: your pathetic if this is true.Whats so pathetic about my perception of a movie? I mean if you are gonna attack me, at least prove your point Mr. Condescending.
Edit: And if you are gonna insult someone use proper grammar if you want to be seen as supreme as you see yourself hotshot. You used "your", when you should've used "you're"....

The problem is that with all the lack of action, the character development was still a letdown. It was your typical comicbook hero movie character development, rushed and superficial. I never actually empathized with Tony Stark at all, I was like "that sux" but he didnt really feel like a "real" person. ON the other hand, TDK and Batman Begins had phenominal character development. IMO, The only reason people gave Iron Man such glowing reviews was because it was slightly above the other super hero trash out there but as soon as TDK came out, im guessing alot of critics wanted to change their Iron Man reviews :P

Well he probably meant that you should have easily predicted that he would realize his errors. If you had super powers, wouldn't you use them for your own benefit to some extent?
