No, there are at least 4 exercises for each of the 5 body parts, totaling 18-24 reps per workout. Each of the different workouts exercises different parts of the muscles, resulting in huge mass increases.

For example, you have to work out your triceps in addition to your biceps in order to build mass in your arms, and there are different ways of doing this.

Doing Chainsaw pulls, upright rows, and hyper-extensions to work your back.

Doing curls, there are different positions in which to do them in order to increase gain.

Concentration curls: sit on the bench, with your elbow resting on your inner thigh. pull the dumbell up to your chest. REPEAT

You really need a workout partner, not only to make sure that you have the proper form, but to motivate you as well. Good luck.

Don't forget the triceps, it's a commen misconception that the biceps are the major source of strength in the arms, when really it is the triceps.

[QUOTE="SIapshot"][QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]I would wait, i hear it does stump growth. Unless there is a reason. Dont do it to try to look tough and muscular, but if your doing it for a sport then I would say yes. But dont over do it.SaintLeonidas

So.... if you're doing it for a sport, it doesn't stunt your growth?

Yes, it magically stops it.

Obviously, SaintLeonard said so.

Are your eyes ok because again you must not of read what i wrote. I said I hear it stumps growth, did I say personally "yes it does"? No I didnt actually, but ive had people who lifted and a doctor say it can stump your growth. Dont put words in my mouth.

Whatever

It is fine to lift weights at 14. It is a bad idea to overtrain at any age.

Listen, it won't stunt your growth. If you are looking to gain strength but not much mass, do like 3 sets of 8 reps per muscle group and on the last set you shouldn't be able to do any more reps. Do this for every excercise you do. For the first week or two you will be pretty sore, but it will go away. When I started here are the excercises I would do:

Bicep curls

Tricep Extensions

Bench press

Military press

Squats

Calve raises

Once you have been working out for a while you can start doing excercises such as deadlift and bent over rows, buts wait until you have enough muscle in your back to do them. Don't work out while you are sore, you should have at least one day of rest if you are sore. If you are always sore, even after a few days without working out, lower the weight.

i thought it was atleast 16, because your muscles are still developing and if you start working them now

you will get some sort of mutation in your muscle growth. And im being serious, my PE teacher told me.

hyruledweller

Negative. If that were true, they wouldn't allow kids under 16 to play football.

kicking a football around is different to putting pressure on still-growing arm muscles.

I think he meant American football, and the coaches have you lift for usually an hour a day. Especially during "two-a-days"

I've actually tried lifting waits in my pre-teens to early teens and no matter how hard I would try, I would never gain muscle.  And I'm now 15 and I'm still going through height growth and puberty, so it's best if you wait until your puberty comes to a stop before lifting waits...then you'll probably see results. (in muscle gain)
