I'm 20 years old. I am also a university student. I am still living with my parents, and I can't see myself leaving the house or getting married, ever. My parents are pretty chill people and I get to live here rent-free. I can imagine myself living here for a while.

How about you? Are you an adult still living with your parents? Do you plan on moving out, or is this going to be the status quo that you will embrace for the rest of your life? I know I probably fall into the latter category.

Well I just turned 18 (graduating HS this year).

I'll probably move out sometime between the next 2-3 years hopefully. I know I'll go insane if I don't.

It goes without saying that MLP fans live with their parents regardless of age.

I'm in the same situation as you . 20 year old college student living at home for the time being . While i do want to transfer to a bigger school i only have two years left with where i'm at and instead of graduating in debt i'm going to have a nice chunk of money saved in the bank

I'm 18 and still live with my parents. I don't plan on spending the rest of my life with them by the farthest stretch of the imagination, but I don't stress about it, I'll take as long as I need.

I'm 21 and I live at home. I don't see why people make a big deal of it as long as your not bumming off your parents and actually giving them money for your share of bills or whatever. Besides I can't even find a job or make enough money where moving out would even be an option.

Well, whether I like MLP or not is pretty irrelevant. I would stil be living with my parents nonetheless.

Honestly, I can safely say that the vast majority of young adults I know still live with their parents. It's too expensive to do it alone (especially when the average rent for a studio apartment runs at around $1,000 a month).

I'm a small town kid, so I was forced to move out when I started university. That being said, I prefer having my own place to living with my parents.

22 and still living with my dad. Mostly because I haven't been able to find a steady job under the career I went to college for. Once I get into the field, I'm leaving and not turning back....

Why do you need to keep posting this topic? Swear you need reinsurance every two months that it's okay to live with your parents.

I'm 23 and I live with my mom. However, I just got a job offer today so that's going to change in a month thank god. Definitely couldn't have lasted much longer not living on my own.

I moved back in with my mom shortly after my Dad died. (he was sick for years with a terminal illness) I'm also 27 so if that makes me a loser so be it. But atleast I stick with my family when the going gets tough.

Still, if Rikusaki lives at home, that would make the brony defense league of OT all home-dwellers. This is NOT helping to dispel my mental image of basement-dwelling mouth breathers. :(

Moi. I just honestly do not have the kind of job/make enough money to move out right now, especially with the car loan I have. That and aside from my sister, I really don't mind living at home as it is. Free food, free cable, free internet, free phone, no rent? Yes please.

I'm nearly 30 and back and forth between moving out and my parent's. At the moment I'm with my parents. There are pros and cons to both, but one advantage I can definitely attribute to living with my parents is that I have a healthier lifestyle. My dad, being an old timer from a Greek village, cooks the best, healthiest food. In addition to that, I have more time to train at the gym and go to the beach during summer. I help him out with money so it works both ways. Whenever I'm moved out, yes I have a lot more freedom, but I eat less, train less, get less sun, lose weight (I'm trying to put on), and become paler due to a poor diet. Being with my parent's, I also save more, hence I have more money to buy things.

I'm 19, and am in my second year of community college and I still live with my parents, If I can find a place with descent rent and that took dogs I'd leave, but I can't leave without my dog, he helps me with my anxiety sometimes.

Its all good, I just moved out last year. Still in my early 20's. With the economy and job market there is nothing wrong with saving up some money. Why pay rent if you dont have to, unless your at the point where you feel you really need your personal space.

I know most people are eager to spread their wings however I would say in times like these STAY with your folks for as long as you can, turst me. You will move out eventually, there is no shame being a 20-26 y/o and living with your folks, money is tight these days and every little thing helps.

I moved out when I was 20, and though I am fortunate enough to have a very good life since; holy hell have I been working a ton, especially living hear in San Francisco.
