You would be right with that assumption.

It would be a coin flip on him winning. Based on the field of GOP candidates, i seriously doubt that Obama's chances are slim. In fact, all this infighting is helping Obama day by day.

Except, he has the ace in his sleeve, Osama Bin Laden. The second reports were confirmed that Bin Laden was killed, Obama's chances at re-election sky-rocketed.

Hopefully the rest of America doesn't seriously believe that just because Obama was president during that - that it makes him any better of a president... they've been looking for him for 10+ years - regardless of who was in office, I believe the real focus on who killed Bin Laden should be on the intelligence agencies. Any who - he's not getting my vote just for that.

If Obama is getting all the blame for the bad economy why shouldn't he get all the credit for taking down Bin Laden?

i dont blame just him for the state of the economy, everything he signed into effect is on him that is for damn sure, bush clintion bush reagan carter, even ford and nixon all signed in to law something that aided in our current situation. i could go back to hoover and fdr but they are kinda obvious. from the affordable housing act to obama care, from going off of gold to fund nam to adopting the cut and spend policies of reagen, it has been more and more and more i'lls with just a few passing instances of responsible governance.

i wish i could find the chart that showed the disaggregated GDP from 1900-2009 to show the government portion of GDP and the private sectors, there are some interesting trens to be seen not that they are or would be conclusive.

There was a two week spike in his poll numbers. Then they returned to exactly where they were before.

Oh neat! One was built in 1973, how relevant. Oh wait, there was one supported by Sarah Palin in Alaska. And look at that it would only cast $400 mil and its still getting funding. I gotta say, Dems really are doing a lot of wasteful spending.curtkobain

Wasteful spending is wasteful spending, regardless of the amount. I couldn't justify nearly half a billion dollars for a bridge to an island with only 50 people. Could you?

The question is not whether the country is ready for a Republican president, but rather whether we can survive the hack in the white house now. I will take a gppd Democrat over a bad Republican any day. And vice versa. Right now, I see little difference between Bush and Obama. Both are big government drones.

I am sure that reelection will not be easy for Obama if the Republicans can have a candidate that can truly represent what we want.

Lmao if you believe that the Messiah Obama is in the bag like he was in 2008 then you are seriously wrong.Hemmaroids
Definitely not like 2008, but I don't see him losing which is why I think he has it, since it pretty much comes down to two people: one is Obama and the other is a guy that I think will remind some voters of Bush. And yes, regardless of the state of the country.

My vote is for Ron Paul - assuming he won't make it... it will be down to Obama and Herman... where Herman will win my vote for his dedication to the alliance with Israel.

Behind the times, bro. He is losing popularity as we speak. His people are all migrating to Gingrich. He's the cool new kid on the block.

I am ready to see change in the white house. However I will vote for Cain in the Rep. primaries.

Cain is an absolute tool for the Koch Brothers and is all talk. He is possibly one of the worst candidates.

I do not have that much extra time with the fall semester winding down at my college to pay attention to current affairs, I feel that the Republicans will fumble their chances anyways.

[QUOTE="Planet_Pluto"]

I'm sure the 14 million +/- chronically unemployed people are thrilled with Obama (not to mention those that are underemployed). As are the millions of college grads that have no career to speak of, yet have mountains of debt.

We'll see I suppose. As they say, "Is your life better now than it was 4 years ago?" Nothing will surprise me.

ristactionjakso

Ya im one of those 14 million not employed. I'm thrilled that Obama can take all the vacations he wants while congress fights among themselves like a bunch of elementary children. Looks like we have a bright future as long as the wayward wanna-be celebrity president is in office.

I can't honestly think of one good thing he has done, except put us in even more debt than all the previous presidents combined. I hope he gets elected again so we can have very expensive green jobs everywhere. Maybe another super stimulus bill so we can build more bridges to nowhere, or turle crossings because those turtles need safe areas to cross busy highways. Man he truly is the best president to ever sit in the oval office.

On a more serious note, my next door neighbor's dog creates more shovel ready jobs than that S.O.B ever claims he has created. Point blank, government does'nt create jobs, they interfere with jobs.

Newt for the win!!!!

Republicans would never let him accomplish anything. They're blocking even things they would normally believe in.

Worst how? Being the "worst" in a way could make him all the more appealing to republicans.
