Pretty much proven we can. We already have. But efficently, i think maybe 300+ years. More for going back in time.

It has something to do with the rotation of the earth and if you are in space time moves faster depending on speed. I don't honestly remember all the technical details about it and I wish I knew where the info was on the net. I just remember that asian scientist they always have on the discovery and science channels talking about it.The man I was referring to was Michio Kaku. I am searching to see if I can find the information.

From some Stephen Hawking program on the Discovery Channel. Like everything, time has it's little raptures and fissures but they are really small, if you managed to make them bigger somehow, the radiation feedback repeating the same momment would make the portal colapse into itself.[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="dragon7x2k"]Apparently is posible to take shortcuts to the future but is impossible to go back to the past.testfactor888

Time dilation allows different relative progression of time at relativistic speeds This, you can alter time progression by going really fast, and by getting near to massive objects. This will make the time for you to go slow, thus traveling to the future.[QUOTE="dragon7x2k"]Apparently is posible to take shortcuts to the future but is impossible to go back to the past.xaosThis is correct
Mathematically, you can certainly say something is traveling to the past, But it is not possible for you and me to travel backward in time

I read through this article and it really isn't the best but it does semi explain what I saw on the tv awhile ago. Its written by Michio Kaku and it isn't a completed article. Anyways here you go best I can find thus far

Well, most physical equations (outside of thermodynamics) are time-reversible, but that is a far cry from time itself being reversible Edit: that reversibility is generally a consequence of conservation laws, however[QUOTE="MazehcS0ul"][QUOTE="xaos"] This is correctxaos

Not necessarily. Some Scientists would state that Time travel to the past could be theoretically possible. Even if you did change the past it wouldn't change our reality but simply start a new reality that would break off from the original. I don't know if time travel to the past is possible or not but it certainly is interesting. If you travel back in time, you would theoretically change our reality. If that is the case, every time travel has already been done and our reality is set in stone. I think it is more plausible to travel to a different, idk, dimension in time.

That is sort of what I meant by another dimension in time. We are on the same wave length I think. It is definitely very interesting.

Your talking about the TV show called The Universe. The bigger an objects mass, the more gravity it exerts, which also has a very very very small change on time around it on the 4th dimension. Standing next to the pyramids makes you, essentially, slow down in time relative to those not near the pyramids, albeit not a noticeable change. It also happens every time an astronaut takes off into orbit.
