I am very proud of my Dad. He is in his mid-60's and he still works hard. He does Flooring for a living-alone. I have health problems so I do not help him. He likes to be self-employed. He does not like to have a Boss. When I was younger he built our House in another state. My Dad is the "Jack of all Trades" guy.

Lol, no.
My dad hates work. However, he always gets things done for some reason.

Very. I take pride in being able to say he's my father and couldn't ask for a better role model. I love him.

For the most part, yes. I've seen him work all day on certain projects without taking a break once.

It really depends. He's capable of working hard but I've seen him be extremely lazy too.

Definetly, I've known the man for 20 years and I've never heard him say...."*yawn* Boring!" The guy works everyday of his life, a true hardworker, makes me proud. And makes me wonder if I'm his son since I'm kinda lazy sometimes

I'd say so. Although I guess being a CEO isn't seen as terribly hard work by some... He was a road worker back in the days though.

Dad works VERY hard. Takes him 1 hour to drive to work and another to drive back and he works from 6 - 5, selling cars. He never complains about his work and even when money gets tight, he'll always buy me things. Love my dad.

Yeah, he does. Even now when he is retired, he will do some yard work and whatnot. His last job, he would work from 7-7 daily except Sunday and some Saturdays. He would get calls at like almost 3 am to get him to come in and he would most of the time.

My dad works EXTREMELY hard. spends at least 10 hours a day at work every day and he studies and works most of the weekend as well. I really do appreciate all the things he's done for me but it makes me sad when I can't live up to his standards sometimes :(

Enough he wanted to stay in another 4 years. Alas, 30 years in the military is the maximum one can go enlisted.

Mine is. He actually does what he's supposed to and doesn't whine about it. He often points out to younger guys doing dockwork or construction jobs that they're the slackeriest slackers he's ever seen, and it's probably very true. He was a farm kid and on a farm there's no days off, so that's where he got the work ethic.

Sword-Demon

That is not really a huge compliment since the only houses really destroyed by Katrina were the ones from Gulf Port towards Alabama. New Orleans was just water damage and houses hitting other houses. Anyways, my father is my role model. He went from being fairly poor to being a wealthy man all on his own hard work. He owns a business and it has been doing great for 25+ years. I have never seen him be lazy outside of sleeping. Oh, I live right by New Orleans.

Yes. He has a full time job which he works 7 days a week, and he occasionally picks up part time work, sometimes 2 additional part time jobs at the same time. All to make ends meet.

Most of my family are good workers. My grandfather is in his 80's and still working over 40 hours a week at his new company. He says you'll live longer if you work and stay active rather than retiring and sitting around all day. And he's completely right, you'll clog up, stiffin up and just start going down hill.

My Pops is retired but plays golf twice a week and tends to his garden every day (used to work the farm he lived on before he joined the Air Force for 24 years). One year, he grew so many tomatoes that my Ma canned tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce (she grows herbs too).

My Dad always have a lazy attitude - look whenever he is around us. He acts as if he hates to be bothered. But, when I go to his small law office, I see him working really hard.

- Has been on disability for the last decade due to "back problems" yet he works part time at a skydiving company...jumping out of planes for a living..

- Much more that i won't bother mentioning....

My dad has always worked very hard. He made a lock of sacrifices for his family, as a lot of dads do. He rarely got to do anything he wanted. If he wasn't at work, he was working on something around the house.

My dad works 7 days a week in his own business. He usually works from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, which works out to 63 hours per week.

I would never work that hard, mostly because I'd be incredibly unhappy no matter how much money I made.

He used to work two jobs for 16 hours a day. He's currently unemployed. He doesn't like it a whole lot, so he's been working on his truck a lot lately to keep busy.
