I have to say, for the average American, seeing all the footage of all the hijacked planes since the 70's, then the building bombings through the 80's and 90's, then 9/11/01 - being forced fed by 24-hours "news" agencies about terror alerts and near-misses and Americans defecting to Muslim countries to join Al-Queida, and good ole "Us and Them" mentality .... it's hard NOT to think that way.

Reminds me of 1984 when people would gather to have their hate-sessions where they would show a picture of the "enemy" and people would shout and raise fists and curse and warmonger.

It's like that on both sides you know.

I find it hilarious when people say 'We make fun out of Christians and they don't care so why should muslims?'. Perhaps, Muslims take their faith more seriously than Christians? I agree that people shouldn't use violence, and the vast majority don't but why shouldn't people be able to stick up for their beliefs. The thing that most people don't understand is how high muslims hold their faith. For a muslim, their religion is their identity, far more than their race or gender.

Just to help you put things in perspective, if you started an attack on black people, would you not expect the same sort of response? , if anything you'd get riots in the streets and violence on an immense scale. Well, to a muslim if you attack their religion you are being far more disrespectful than attacking their race. I'm not saying people shouldn't have the right to voice their opinions and I agree people shouldn't use violence. But, the fact of the matter is that attacking someone just because you can and others don't mind if they're attacked is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. Please grow up people and try to understand matters before you blow your tops.

Sometimes you just have to compromise and use your brain. Our constitution is not global, it's our constitution,not their's. Comedy is NOT worth getting people killed. Maybe you're okay with explaining to the families that the deaths were totally worth it but I don't see how it could be.

Erm, what? I thought this was a topic about Islam, whats medical insurance got to do with anything? I'm from the UK anyway so what you're referring to effects me in no way at all. Still don't understand what you're getting at though. Also, I agreed that people should be able to voice their opinions without fear of being attacked in my post, so I don't really get the latter part of your post either.
