Another quote of Stollar:

"Entire residential neighborhoods were wiped out, with military bulldozers that according to the testimonies of the soldiers themselves "remained driving around insistently", as if they were playing in a sandpit". Photos that the soldiers themselves took show that destruction. Buildings and infrastructure were destroyed in parts of Gaza that had already been abandoned. There was therefore no reason for that demolition, except as a collective punishment of the civilian population. The neighborhoods were also destroyed, in order to "let the Israeli presence be felt".

Isreal gonna Isreal. The Fourth Reich.

But..but:

The world is excessively and disproportionately against Israel overall.

How are these posts even connected to each other?

He's calling Israel the Fourth Reich while you on the other hand is of the opinion that the world is unfairly against Israel. In light of the excerpt cited at the top of the chain, one has to appreciate the irony of your cavil since-again-in light of the cited quote, the world is anything but "excessively and disproportionately against Israel overall".

How does calling Israel the Fourth Reich show that the world is anything but that?

I see you no longer appreciate sarcasm and irony. I was sarcastically responding to his disparagement by referring him to your post which claims the world is unjustly against Israel. Given the quote I included, one appreciates the irony in that kind of rhetoric responding to that kind of condemnation.

Well yeah. But on the other hand I'm pretty retarded. Your English has developed beyond my understanding. My brain starts to melt when I see words such as disparagement.

@faizanhd: well, i've never heared of a budist monk molesting a child or killing a women for being "unfaithfull" (aka being raped)

Well then, have you heard about Buddhist persecution of Muslims in Myanmar? Rhetorical question, I know the answer is no. I think this little quote illustrate that Buddhists are not always "peaceful" hippie yoga people:

"The anti-Buddhist actions of the Taliban in Afghanistan (the destruction of the Buddhas of Bamiyan) was also used as a pretext to commit violence against Muslims in Burma by Buddhist mobs."

Maybe you remain appreciative of sarcasm after all.

I'm curious though, what would you have had me use instead of disparagement?

@sSubZerOo: LOL trusting Iran...

You could say the same thing with Israel regarding the Lavon Affair and USS Liberty too right? >_> Wrong. In diplomacy why should you let the actions that a few people of a country did dictate your relations with an entire country.

As far as this hate I can admit I am a hypocrit. In the United States our country was built on taking indigenous populations land as well.

What is happening to palestinians is abhorrent but those wishing for a return to Palestine only are hopelessly dreaming. A two state solution would be pretty good right? They could even create an expansion of the land via artificial islands or something. My dad was telling me that oil companies and countries like China. They could create oil rig island cities right?

There are Muslims living in Israel (a secular state) that are free to practice their religion right? Now Israel is not perfect but they are pretty much one of the best players in the region regarding civil liberties are they not? I think the United Arab Emirates is another?

Maybe we could offer the palestinians US citizenship and let them take the monuments or like half of the monuments with them? Then they can replicate the other half and have basically clones of temples, buildings, etc. right?

At this point shouldn't the objective of the UN and fellow developed countries be to minimize collateral damage and appease all involved. I recognize that Israeli Gov's hands are not clean. However they are clearly the winning side since they have the favor of the "developed world" and will probably continue to do so over the Islamic Hamas. Basically even though Israel is continuing some harsh methods to ensure safety of its citizens and disregarding the safety of the palestinians most in the international community will not side with the alternative because of their views.

However most Israelis have nothing to do with these actions. There are tons of videos that put everything into perspective and give both sides.

Another quote of Stollar:

"Entire residential neighborhoods were wiped out, with military bulldozers that according to the testimonies of the soldiers themselves "remained driving around insistently", as if they were playing in a sandpit". There was therefore no reason for that demolition, except as a collective punishment of the civilian population. The neighborhoods were also destroyed, in order to "let the Israeli presence be felt".

IDF SOLDIER: [translated] I don’t remember when exactly, but one day the battalion commander gathered the entire battalion. I guess he wanted to give a speech to raise our morale. He knew that many of our friends from the other battalion were in Shejaiya, and so he said, "You don’t need to worry anymore. There is no Shejaiya. Shejaiya is gone," like it was wiped off the face of the map. Those were his exact words: "There is no Shejaiya."

It's going to be interesting to see how the ICC responds to this now that Palestine is a member of the Court. With all of this damning testimony from the soldiers themselves, we can all sit back and see if the ICC can truly be what it proclaims to be; can they even rise to the level of bringing charges to those engaged in these systematic killings?

This may be the most pivotal trial of the ICC's authority and impartiality, which is why this is becoming such a high profile affair. I'm just starting to research the matter as I've been preoccupied with other matters. So far it seems the ICC is serious about this and the PA isn't holding back. Israel is concerned for a status quo of carte blanche and delusions of omnipotence dating back to the inception of the Jewish state. The international pressure Israel is being subjected to is staggering; it's no surprise that even the U.S is changing its approach as its getting impossible to endorse the Jewish state and its figures.

Netenyahu just finished inaugurating his right-wing Eden. The Israelis chose the worst possible time for going full retard in the choice of their leaders. For instance, following his failure to get Israel's western allies to cut their funding to the ICC, Netenyahu is talking about a campaign against the ICC and its chief prosecutor Bensouda. The stuff coming from the Prime Minister Office are unbelievable.

But I'm not worried about the ICC probe as much as I'm worried about what awaits the territories. As the Palestinians are adamant about this-not intending to waste any more time in pointless negotiations while the occupation continues to expand and make the lives of millions unbearable-the Israelis and the leadership they selected recently are not going to sit idle and allow this to progress. Expect upheavals in the territories as early as the end of this year as a way to circumvent Israel's dire diplomatic situation.
