Isreal commiting war crimes.gaza blockade

There is a total blockade of Gaza by Israel. No food, no power no medicines are allowed in. This totally contravenes the Geneva Convention fopr Protection of Civilians during time of war.

The Un spokesman informed CNN reporter about the situation.

He also mentioned that the hospitals are using fuel run generators to try to keep the incubators running, to keep the Palestinian babies alive. But its going to run out soon he said, and unfortunately incubators will be turned off this will be a death sentence to hundreds of Palestinian babies.

well when the palestinians shoot 40 kassam rockets a day on an israeli city, they have to do something about it.

magically, after 1 day of the blockade they didnt shoot any rockets and the israelis stopped it, nothing wrong here.

Ya, I just read the article and I kind of agree with this guy, though I think it will be better if they allowed some supplies to go in

Sadly the fact is that Israel breaks dozens and dozens of UN resolutions and UN law, but whereas some Middle East nations are villified, Israel gets a free pass.

As usual any condemnation at the UN level will be vetoed away by the US. Hypocrisy at its finest.

And there are people in the US and the west who believe Israel is some "promised holy land", "and Israel shall become a beacon to all nations", right now its a beacon on how to commit the biggest brutalities and atrocities in the world.

What crimes? Being attacked by multiple countries? Being attacked by multiple countries again? Giving back territory they gained while defending themselves from the attackers? Being okay with whatever land they got, but having to protect themselves from those who couldn't make do with what they were given?

I won't say that Israel has a spotless record, but I don't see how you could look at what's going on here and say that Israel is evil.

Look, when Palestine fire rockets, they don't hit civilians.

When Isrealis do, they do hit rebels and civilians. So, where's the fairness.

About this blockade thingy, I don't mind them restricting human movement, but supplies and electricity, thats absurd. You got to be kidding? Do they really think the rebels are going to surrender? No way! They don't care. We can't put other's lives on the balance. Innocent people not involved are suffering the most.

Hospitals, schools. Man.. the list can go on.

Last time I checked, Israel was not being attacked by any country. They were actually doing the attacking, they air strike Syria, invaded Lebanon recently and are trying to convince the US to attack Iran.hamidious

When Palestinian insurgents (not Palestine, it's not the country which does it after all, and certainly true Islam has nothing to do with this, no sarcasm) fire Kassams, they aim for civilians. It's just that their aim is bad. The insurgents seem to like congratulating themselves when they do score a hit though.

By the way, I'd also be against the electricity and water blockade if they hadn't elected Hammas as their leaders.

Edit: Oh, and I'm also against the illegal settlements. But guess what, so is the Israeli government! Why else would they be illegal? The reason there are military personel there is that even criminals have the basic right for security. Israeli is a very... Lively place. It's very difficult to predict the outcome, good or bad, of whatever political action you take.

Edit2: Hmm, they're blocking off medicine as well? That is way too harsh. I still don't see why they can't send it through Egypt, but that really is wrong. So they won't let the Red Cross enter either?

the thing with the palestinians kassam rockets is that even though they dont kill alot of people, they r the best example of terror, fear. imagine running to the nearest shelter 40 times a day, its hard and u cant live like that.

i know the people in gaza have 1000x harder life than israelis but its really their fault, if they didnt do ANYTHING to kill as much of us we wouldent do anything to them, its all about self-defense

You need to becareful what you read/hear in the media. Remember they only tell you what they think you'll be interested in hearing. It's not always true and when it is a true story its usually VERY one sided. Horrible things happen in the world, and listening to the media and it's propaganda doesn't help.

Perfect example is for the war in Iraq. On tv here in Australia they showed footage of people in Iraq burning flags.. what they didn't say was that the footage was actually from the first gulf war. They show it to help incite emotion into viewers, make them angry and agree to war. It's propaganda and it works. The horrible thing is that it works and the story is changed to get the result they want.

Its the same over and over and over.. the same thing has been happening there for decades. Numerous meetings with world leaders to try to sort out a peace.. nothing works. I feel sorry for the innocents there, but surely anyone that lives there chooses it.. or they'd move out of the area in closer to the opposite side of their country.

The sad thing is that there are troops there "guarding" the border. You get a group of people (kids) protesting.. then all of a sudden someone runs out with a molotov cocktail and launches it in the troops direction. The troops open fire and innocent people die. But What are they supposed to do? They fire because they are under attack. Either way the situation is REALLY bad and has been for a LONG time. They should put a wall up similar to the Berlin wall.. maybe that will sort it out.. although they need to make it high enough so no one can throw stuff over :P

Its true though. That's why you have to look at both sides. And learn some history. Originally, the Jews were given some piece of land. And it turned ugly after a while. I've read about it, but I don't really remember so I'm going far off.

Media is a way to control people's emotion. Do you think they're going to show what really happens? It is always bias. CNN will always show the coalition army success or exaggerate a small issue.

AL-Jazeera on the other hand, would center around the extremists.
