And to be fair, I've actually heard grown-ass adults say variations of that $hit. At least with the "people should drop out of school" nonsense, you should expect it because the only people who have to go to school are kids (and kids tend to say stupid $hit). By contrast...when I hear that $hit about babies, in my experience the people who say it are usually grown-ass adults who damn well ought to know better.

Classrooms are little dictatorships. Programing you until 18 that the state has more power than you. When you graduate you are ready to pay taxes and ask permissions from the state.
