[QUOTE="Boring_Bland"]did you even read what I wrote?Heck, the game got what it deserved. Get over it already....

I don't dissagree with the score....Omni-Slash:|Your not a mod anymore!!! NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

It's stuff like this that make me lose the VERY minute amount of respect that I even had for this website. It disgusts me that GameFAQs is forced to be related to such a dishonorable and pathetic excuse of sellouts that manage this website.EnsignN7
Reference earlier post.
lol wut.
How can you fire someone for them giving a bad game a bad review? Its the devs fault for not making a good game.pinneyapple
It's because Eidos paid CNET, Gamespot's parent company, to give Kane & Lynch a good score--supposedly.
I haven't heard...but he should have been fired after that horrible review of LoZ TP.....I don't dissagree with the score....but his reasonings sounded like he hadn't played the game...Omni-SlashIm sure he did!
But Teh COnspiracieys if he got fired because of money~!
[QUOTE="thriteenthmonke"]Good thing, you have pics, otherwise I wouldn't have believed it.gnarlychar
Well, Slowtaku just reported it. I think it's a fact now.
Internet rumors, for great truthiness

You guys are freaking horrible and sick. They guy worked here for 10 ****ing years! he doveted his 10 years for this site. And you guys are happy because of 1 ****ing review? while at the same time you ignore the reason why he was fired.
The things you expect from game journalist is freaking ridiculous. Some of these guys havent even graduated or came from gamestores.
what the **** is wrong with all of you?

If that's what really happened I've just lost all respect for GS and will never trust a thing they say.
Let me just get this straight since now it seems like this is getting legit.......yes I dissagreed with some of his reviews and thought there were not put together well....but if the reasoning of his firing has anything to do with what the comic and others are implying....that is jsut freakin rediculous and there really is no point in coming to this site anymore....
btw defender of Jeff....Gradutated.......worked at a Gamestore while in college......I can disagree with his reviews no matter how long he worked here...
Im sure he did![QUOTE="Omni-Slash"]I haven't heard...but he should have been fired after that horrible review of LoZ TP.....I don't dissagree with the score....but his reasonings sounded like he hadn't played the game...lithuania_pride

It'll just go to prove that us GS haters were right all along and the GS fanboys won't have anything to say to us. They supported a site that wasn't even a true gaming site. And, that will be hilarious, although the horrible situation that has transpired will not make it as enjoyable. Unless Jeff finds a job right away, which I hope he does. Then all will be well and GS fanboys will be smashed.

I know, it's ridiculous.
That's the thing. A site like GameSpot usual has protocol for releasing reviews. Even though Jeff wrote it, it still has to be approved or whatever. His seniority also makes a huge difference. You guys are freaking horrible and sick. They guy worked here for 10 ****ing years! he doveted his 10 years for this site. Wow. I wonder how much?
If true - LAME. Like, soy burgers at a barbeque lame.
And I'll be forever grateful to Jeff for his honest review of Twilight Princess, and not vigorously rubbing Nintendo up and down like every other site did over that game when it was nothing more than an overlong clone of Ocarina of Time. I'll never understand the riot over what amounted to people angry over half a point of score.
But getting fired for writing an honest review of a bad game when said game happened to be highly publicized? Goodbye, credibility, Gamespot. You've entered the kiddie pool alongside IGN.

Well, Gamespot is the popular video game website on the Internet, in terms of traffic--so I'd wager that Eidos paid alot of money for the adspace, and the score.
Ya, I'm going to make calls and eMails. I personally bought CNET stock several months ago and this just makes me sick. I'm selling tomorrow as soon as the market open.If true - LAME. Like, soy burgers at a barbeque lame.

I agree completely.....you can't maintain onbjectiveness if this is how it goes down.....whther in the end this is the reasoning or not...it's now percieved this way and GS needs to do clean-up and quick....If true - LAME. Like, soy burgers at a barbeque lame.

I agree.
I was pretty unhappy when I first saw the review, because it was considerably underated compared to other sites, but when I played the game I realized he was right.
So, is anyone at GS going to confirm this or what? A Gamespot admin posted in System Wars and locked the thread, but nowhere to be found here.TekkenMaster606
As aforementioned, I can confirm that Jeff was asked to leave Gamespot yesterday. Whether he was "fired" for the K&L review remains to be seen.

I have to agree, as well...it's the same formula as the other Legend of Zelda games. I still loved it, though. :P And 8.8 really isn't bad at all.

I'd suggest making sure it's actually true before you do that.
Where's the K&L review? I can't find it on GS anymore.icream
