[QUOTE="Fuhgeddabouditt"] hes young too and met her @ a club where you would assume there are 20s in there. Have you seen her picture? Have you been to clubs lately? Girls these days look OLD and are very good at fooling. For all we know, they might have done nothing (sex). And lastly, its LEGAL. No big deal :(
Fuhgeddabouditt
1. He is in his mid 20's (two years out of college) and she is a HS chick
2. I go out every weekend
3. They did have sex according to her (did you read the linked article)
4. It is a big deal (as seen by media coverage...even ESPN covered it, and they never cover this stuff first [fear of litigation])
-you can't say what you would do...or what would be a big deal for you b/c you are not an NFL star with so much to lose (get sued, jail if she was not legal age, endorsement money, etc)
-it was a VERY stupid move for someone in his position
But the thing is that she is of LEGAL AGE so why the rage (that rhythms :P) ? Seriously, you will see this die by the middle of next week and the majority will move on from it. Because its not like MS didnt have a rep of going after woman. People know that, woman know that yet they still flock to him. Hes young and attractive and its your opinion what he did was a stupid. According to Mark himself, he did not know she was 17!
As for ESPN, they cover everything. From Favre driving a white truck to a airport to LBJ shoes.
Also, ATTENTION WHORES have no credibility. Shes going all goo goo ga ga. Did you read her Facebook, seen the pictures. She thinks shes the ****, in the spotlight and is IT. All shes here for is "look @ me" and we, sadly are giving her attention. For all we know, maybe what she said did not go down. Hooking up can be interpreted into many things :P
But even if you dont agree with that fine, there will also be a large group who will take offense to this. Its ok. But to many, this is not a big deal because he met her in a club, shes legal (is she even legal to be in the club), he showed her his crib, and thats that. He has a social life. Good for him.
No one is talking about his rep with ladies at the club...that will not change unless he is seen as a rapist or something
-no one cares about that
What we are talking about is his image or 'brand' on a national level (his current and future sponsorships)
-if this costs him one deal, then it was a bad move
-also, it could have been much worse (HS girl cries 'rape')...just think how bad that would be for him (even if proven false, it never really goes away)
-that is why it was so damn stupid for him to do
ESPN DOES NOT usually cover stuff like this first b/c of legal concerns
-they will cover dumb stuff first (like Favre coming or going)
-but they did not cover big Ben, Kobe, or Favre's woman issues first even though they knew about it (and they have been crticized for this stance)
Her credibility does not matter.
-the public would just see a poor little HS girl (if she chose to portray herself that way)
-she has nothing to lose, he has everything...that is why it was dumb
I don't care about his social life. He is free to do what he wants.
But he has to know where he stands, what he has to lose, and be prepared to pay the price for his choices.
I would not want him to bepart of a team I support...not b/c he banged a HS chick...but b/c he was dumb enough to do it
