J.K. Rowling sues fansite; gets moar money

She knows her career was a one trick pony that has ridden off into the sunset. Even though she could retire and never work again and have enough money to live 100 lifetimes in complete comfort that isnt enough for her.

Thats stupid when you sue your own fans.
This story reminds me of when Metallica sued napster, it's like they sued their own fans.

She didn't sue them for all they have. The verdict was $750 for each of the 7 novels and 2 companion books for a total of $6,750. That's the minimum award by law.

I just read this again and ugh....really, $7,000? She must make $7,000 in her sleep. Her freshly, squeezed crap would be worth $7,000!
