Juno was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life

[QUOTE="biggest_loser"] Because it wasn't awful lol. I think you're just looking to find something to put rubbish on this film. Maybe because its about a teenage girl or because its popular or something. I don't know. But you are aware as someone has pointed out in this thread that there are people who actually talk like that in some states of the US of A? AirGuitarist87
Wait, are you suggesting that people don't actually have an opinion of their own and they have ulterior motives to "rubbish" this film? Anyway, some people talk like Fred Durst in real life, that doesn't make it any less tolerable to listen to.

Seriously. I just didn't like the film. Look back to my previous posts, and I gave more than enough reasons to justify my opinion. You should be more respectful of others, if you want people to take you seriously. Especially when it comes to things like this, where there is not a "right opinion", contrary to what you said (biggest_loser).

People are entitled to their opinions certainly.....if they can explain them properly and justify them. That doesn't mean I have to like it though. Saying "that movies sux" or just "the dialogue is awful" without any explanation does not constitute an argument. What I am trying get people to do here is to become more articulate in describing WHY they don't like something and sometimes that might mean challenging what they are saying.

I'm not saying you have to agree with my opinion. But I did give an explanation, which is why I was confused as to why you were pointing fingers at me, saying my opinion was wrong. That's all. ;)

That probably has to do with Juno talking about being "fo' **** up the spout" and Leah being all "Yo Yo Yiggady Yo" and "Phuket Thailand!", or Juno "nipping it in the bud" by "procuring a hasty abortion", or kicking it old school and putting the baby in a basket and sending it their way like Moses, or putting it in a t-shirt gun and shooting it out at sporting events like they do in China. I honestly think that's the prognosis, Fertile Myrtle.

Honest to blog.

...seriously though, the complaints about the dialogue come from the first 20 minutes; all it consists of are "clever" one liners, pop culture references or obnoxious bits of conversation. Rainn Wilson's character is the epitomisation of the dialogue complaints. The dialogue evens out after the first Mark/Vanessa meeting (that first encounter is still cringe-worthy) and the charm starts to shine through once Juno, I dunno, grows up.

Maybe thats the point of the film. But as I mentioned: Someone on this thread suggested that people from where Page grew up TALK LIKE THAT.

Yeah it was a bit less than thought of and highly unrealistic but it was suppose to fall in the "comedy" genre.

Certainly not, but I have seen countless people here on this topic argue "But People don't talk like that! The dialogue is so unrealistic!"
