I agree with you. I watched 15 mins of it before I had to turn it off before ripping my eyes and ears out. I felt that everything said and done in that movie was so forced and just there to say "hey, look! Look at how random I am! I'm indie! I drink Sunny D and have a hamburger phone! I swear! What an individual I am!".AirGuitarist87:lol: That's probably the best description yet, even though, like I said, I haven't even seen it and I have no interest in doing so.
Why are we still talking about this hipster trash?NecroKvltMuffin
Beacuse as long as there is people who think this movie is good we have to be the ones to let them know that it is horrible. The movie makes me feel like when I had to go to my Grandma's to be babysitted, the levels of boredom were amazing

At least your grandma didn't spend 90 minutes trying to prove how hip she was.Your entitled to your opinion, but I liked Juno. Saying it's one of the worst movies is an overstatement. You're pretty much putting it into the same rank of Bio Dome.mo0ksiDamn you mo0ksi! Now I have to watch Bio Dome just to see how bad it is! :x
lol, the reviews for Bio Dome on rottentomatoes are great:
"It's good for one reason: it killed Pauly Shore's career."
It wasnt horrible, but it's vastly over rated. I hate when critics say movies are "hilarious" in order to sound clever, knowing full well that the film in question lacks any genuinely funny moments at all.Ninja-HippoThe box on Lost In Translation did that to me.
[No, I find it annoying that you are portraying your opinion as better than everyone elses here. I didn't like 300. I loved The Girl Next Door. Who cares? People have different tastes. This thread was intended for people to either agree/disagree with the OP's view of the movie. Neither side is right, because these are OPINIONS. Just because I don't like the "deep and heartfelt Juno" doesn't mean that you are better than me. ;) I hated the script, hated the music, and thought Juno.......well, I can't really post the things I want to say about her here. I just hate her character in general. So please, tell me my opinion is wrong again. Make my day! DarkPrinceXC
It has nothing to do with being better than you at all. And your opinion can be wrong - just because you didn't like the dialogue and you didn't "get it" doesn't make it awful at all. Its only in your head at least.
So what does that mean at least? I ignored it because its garbage? On the part of both of them she's a slut? You have no respect for women if thats what you think of them.
[QUOTE="SpaceMoose"]
Thus demonstrating that you know absolutely nothing about me.
SpaceMoose
I'm glad I don't because if you think that any girl who has sex just for fun is evil than I dont want to know you. AT ALL.
What makes you think I would be friends with people like that? Also, what makes you think I actually tell everyone exactly what I think about them? Anyone who does that is insane.
SpaceMoose
People like that? What, someone who has sex without being in a 'serious' relationship? If you're that conservative you are not going to have any friends. Grow up!!
I said "that kind of attitude," is moronic. I don't know how you could have interpreted "that kind of attitude" to mean "movie." I meant the attitude of sex being "no big deal." Granted, I do think the movie is probably moronic, but that isn't what I said here. Actually, the movie's tagline, "A comedy about growing up... and the bumps along the way," is enough to make me not want to see it.
SpaceMoose
Probably moronic? And Enough to make you not want to see it? Space Moose don't tell me you're bashing a film you haven't seen! Gosh!
If you had actually seen the film then you would know that it does have that moronic attitude described - as I have told you - it is about the consequences of pregnancy.
(For those playing at home - welcome to OT - yeesh).

Why are you defending this movie so much, really it's not that good
...And your opinion can be wrong...biggest_loserThat alone is really telling. Nothing more to see here, folks.
Point out to me the part where I said "evil." Yes, getting pregnant or getting someone pregnant at age 16 without even being in a real relationship basically entails being a complete short-sighted idiot. Pretty much anyone I can think of who has ever done anything like that was a moron to begin with. If that describes someone you are close to or yourself that isn't my problem.SpaceMooseYou didn't say "evil" specially but you did say "people like that" as if getting pregnant by accident at that age makes the girl in particular a terrible person - Its careless certainly, but it doesn't make them a slut - which is a very offensive word you use - and also a bad person in particular. You can't just create a sweeping generalisation about every person who does that to be "a moron" - accidents happen mate.
[QUOTE="biggest_loser"]...And your opinion can be wrong...SpaceMooseThat alone is really telling. Nothing more to see here, folks. So if you said the sky is red and thats your opinion then it must correct right?
Even if you believe something and you are justified in believing something, it can still be wrong.
Lol  I luv you TC.MrLions
Thank you and my love extends to all, even if you like juno. *Gives everyone a hug*
[QUOTE="Heroldp813"] Why are you defending this movie so much, really it's not that good biggest_loserYes it is. You clearly haven't seen enough movies. Go back and watch it in a few years.
You just make me feel like I'm talking about another movie. The movie really didn't have that much depth to me and the jokes were "watching paint dry" boring/bland

Ah of course. I thought that post was too mature for you to leave it at.Can you not accept that some people just plain don't like it? If they don't like something you don't like doesn't mean they're closed minded. For example - I hated The Godfather. There. I said it.I challenge you to rewatch the movie with a more open mind.

I can accept it if people can justify why they don't like - saying "it sucks" and "the dialogue is awful" without explaining these points is not sufficient. Thats a closed mind. I'd love to hear why you hated the Godfather for example.

*facepalm* do you not see the difference? does he have to like something because other people like it? if you personally don't like a popular movie, would you say your opinion was wrong? no. they're his beliefs. he is entitled to not like something. it's his opinion, and to the opinion holder, it's right. you may disagree, but that doesn't make him wrong.*facepalm* do you not see the difference? does he have to like something because other people like it? if you personally don't like a popular movie, would you say your opinion was wrong? no. they're his beliefs. he is entitled to not like something. it's his opinion, and to the opinion holder, it's right. you may disagree, but that doesn't make him wrong.

Sure he is entitled to his opinion. But that doesn't mean I have to agree with it or like it - so in my eyes he can be wrong.
Which is exactly how I was using the Sky example. He can disagree with me and say that the sky is Red and believe it - but in my mind I can still say that he is wrong because I have a different view.

I fidget and grow bored easily, particularly when I can guess accurately what's going to happen next. The Godfather is in no way a bad film, it just doesn't move fast enough for my liking. Goodfellers was worse, I felt like the entire film was one long introduction.

I felt it was justified in winning best screenplay certainly.
