My favorite musician. Hi's best stuff though isn't even from an albun. The G.O.O.D Friday weekly releases were absolutely amazing. Can't wait for the album this year.

His songs such as

Stronger,faster

Power

And Gold digger

are ear music to listen to

But his lyrics and voice and his personality leave a lot less to be desired

Maybe, I can't say for certain how much influence he had on pulling rap away from that "gangsta rap" which is sh!t, and like I said I like alot of his music, but every time he opens his mouth he seems like an idiot and his ego is actually way too big, he has good beats, lyrics (sometmes) but his voice isn't actually even that great.

His antics in the past have been douchbaggy at best but I still think he's a great hip hop artist. The Rolling Stones gave 'Runaway' song of the year in 2010 ... that must mean something.

Theres guys who go through that life for real and they talk about their authentic experiences. I'm talking about artists who just use it as a gimmick to look cool. It's stupid. And pusha might be a (little) bit better, but kanye is the better overall artist by far.

kanye is probably one of the best (if not the best) modern rapper out right now. Dark Twisted Fantasy cemented that.

Kanye West IS a genius. Anyone who actually listens to his albums from beginning to end cannot deny his brilliance. He produces and writes almost all his songs, and is incredibly creative and innovative. He pretty much started an entire new style of hip hop when it was all gangsta stuff. Also, he constantly changes up his style. Every single one of his albums (except maybe College and Registration) are completely unique from one another and has its own sound.

I'm convinced that all Kanye haters are either people who've only heard his singles through radio and never actually gave his albums a try, or uptight people who base their opinions of an artist from how he acts in the media. Seriously, give any of his albums a try (I'd recommend College Dropout, Graduation or MBDTF) then come back and tell me that he's a bad artist.

That said, Kanye is one of hip-hop's greatest producers IMO. He knows his samples and uses them to the fullest extent. I personally hope he and Girl Talk should collaborate together at some point.

Unfortunately lyricism is not his best feat at times. Kanye is a terrible guest rapper, usually disrupting a song he's featured in. He is much better in his songs where he expresses his feelings and turmoils.. Fortunately his lyrics don't get in the way of his songs, at best they fit with the music; at worst they're corny and lame.
