1. He is really addicted to the game to the point of delusion as the judge says
2. He is not right in the head, a video game didn't make him do this as the article said he was the "right" person and this was a perfect catalyst to get him over the edge.
23 years aint sweet time not to mention his mother's blood on his hands. I feel worst for the father who has to live with his wife dead and his son in prison.
Hm...I think I remember reading that the guy was physically disabled from a sports injury, and he was forced to spent long periods of time indoors. I'm not trying to justify what he did, but if this is true, I suppose I could see why he was so connected to gaming.
People say stuff like this all the time, that games really get this addicting. Usually I just look at it like it's rare and whatever, but it happens more than you'd think. :o
