Now you're b*tching about feminism even though nobody even mentioned the word once, you're totally not coming off as the typical male douchebag who blames feminism for everything because people care about certain issues and he doesn't.
Just because someone intends for something to be taken lightly doesn't mean it will be and it doesn't mean that person should have carte blanche to do it. It also doesn't mean that the joke doesn't affect other people in a negative manner. You people think that absolutely no harm can come of anything anyone says as long as they intend it as a joke, that's simply naïve.

I'm not b!tching about feminism. I am b!tching about feminists bringing ill to a good cause (that I support, by the way) by b!tching sh!t that doesn't matter. This is the sort of pedantic sh!t that fvcktards like mingmao will talk about, and while he in particular is already a misogynist sh!te regardless, it is something that will invariably result in people that otherwise wouldn't view it in a negative light to do so.
Yes, people will sometimes take jokes more seriously than they should. That is why some effort is often taken to consider one's audience when cracking a joke. In the off chance that someone runs by it, well fvck me. Life is hard. Now, fvck off.
First off, as I said, feminism was not brought up once before you started complaining about it. Second, if feminists have to censor their opinions because of people like mingmao then they're letting their opponents dictate the terms of dialogue. People like MM are going to portray feminists in a negative light regardless. It's not any one position in feminism they really have a problem with, it's feminism in general. Besides, even if feminism as a whole advocates for one position you disagree with (and I think it's worth noting that not every feminist is going to be in complete agreement on every single issue), then it doesn't mean feminism as a whole is ruining things for you, it simply means you have a disagreement.
And how should people take jokes? How you say they should? Like I said, just because you say something extremely insensitive or offensive in a joking manner doesn't mean it doesn't negatively affect people, and when you're talking about the entire joke basically being a spiteful crack at someone in a scenario like rape then it affects a lot of people negatively. Comedy doesn't exist in a vacuum, it's not like when we hear a joke we turn off everything that influences us as humans. It does influence individuals and people in a subtle manner, and when the joke is simply being spiteful to someone in a bad situation then it's for the worse.
