This whole voucher debate was started by me mentioning the terrible Orleans Parish public school system. Some of y'all are saying that the vouchers are taking money away from an already underfunded system. The system in Orleans Parish isn't underfunded. It's downright corrupt. It's become nothing more than a side show of 3-4 black board members and 3-4 white school board members casting their vote on every single issue based solely on race politics. The kids are an absolute after-thought. It's terrible. People should be able to get out of that as quickly as possible. And if anyone realized how bad the red tape is in corrupt areas of Louisiana politics, they would realize why so many people would rather find the quickest way out rather than go through the long arduous process of reforming the system.

WE need MOAR money sckools r underfunds
DO you understand "Percent increase, inflation adjusted"?
Or "Staff per student"? Do I have to adjust that for inflation?
[QUOTE="AdamPA1006"][QUOTE="Barbariser"] Inflation and economic growth, do you understand it? Nibroc420Do you understand CONSTANT 2007 DOLLARS???? Welcome to 2013.
SO what? YOu think it went right back down? I would bet my life on it the expenses just keep rising. RELATIVE expenses, after inflation and everything. Jeez people no one in this thread wants to admit that
We spend 2.5x more per kid than in 1970, and it has no impact on how well the kids perform on tests.

Fair enough. Let's do an experiment. Let's take that "2.5x" money, whatever it may be, out of the ducation system, but tha tmust included vouchers, and then see what happens.
[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]This thread is awful.AdamPA1006You're awful. Tell me that I'm wrong, every liberal thinks every problem needs more money thrown at it. That is a completely factual statement. Every conservative thinks less money needs to be thrown at it. (FEDERAL FUNDS) Stop talking.
