I happen to have a liking for this sorta weird crap, so I'll definately download it and give it some time :)

I don't think the quality of the music really has any bearing on douche bag levels in this scenario.Just burned this on a CD and I've been driving around town with the windows down playing this as loud as possible. Not because it's good. It's actually terrible. It's just so laughably bad I wanted to see the reactions I would get bumping my head to this wearing shades. By the looks I was getting I must have looked like a douche bag...

Friendly advise - please DON'T attempt to proffessional recording using SOUND RECORDER. Its a horrible program with severe limitations. If you've got your heart set on making an album invest in some recording equipment. Get an external soundcard, a decent mic and a recording program like Cubase or Adobe Audition. Seriously, if you took that into a major record label they would laugh you out of the office. Don't think you'll be able to make decent recordings without spending money.

Hahahahaha very true.
i have a few albums of music like this and i agree with the people here. i dont like it mainly because its directionless (especially for something thats supposed to be a concept album) and overall it sounds like there wasnt much effort put into making it.you do realise yu just posted that music to a load of metalheads.... You should see how the people who like that type of music instead of us.

I don;t want to be mean or anything...So I won't say anything...........................Darth-CaedusYou were raised well :P
I only listened to Venus and I have to say.... it just didnt sound good. You really shouldnt delve in uncharted waters this early, however if that is your "style" then so be it. Just dont expect many fans of your work.
Btw, the majority of posters in this thread is just disgusting, I am willing to bet majority of these folks never touched a guitar in his life:| If he actually said that this album is the bomb I geddit, but you really arent being respectful by mocking his work.
my mother used to tell me, if i didn't have anything nice to say, not to say anything at all...JandurinRespect, but if everyone's Mum said that, we wouldn't have 98% of this thread... Mind you, mine used to say "I swear to God, do that and see what happens..." RIP, Mum.
"I swear to God, do that and see what happens..."D3nnyCranehaha my mom didn't actually say that, I was quoting Bambi :P I don't think my mom really has any sayings.

God rest her she taught me tough love. I threatened to run away and she came in 5 minutes later with a packed bag saying "Have fun!"

Sounds like a bunch of people hacking up a lung while scraping nails on a chalkboard, honking a car horn, and tuning a guitar. spiceninja
Should I say how I really feel? Sure...
You are trying too hard to do something experimental and interesting. Instead it is dull and ultimately uninspired, from one listen I can tell this sort of music does not come naturally to you. Also your musical ability is limited to say the least. I understand you lacked any professional production, but you could have at least tweaked some stuff to sort out your levels and things.
No doubt the labels will flush that thing.

I posted already, but I have something more to add :]
As some people have already said, you shouldn't try to record a concept album or write experimental music if you have no motivation to do so. I assume you didn't just sit down and do this without prior consideration, but the music would significantly improve if you put more time into thinking about why you want the music to represent the guy in space and his journey. If you figure that out, you should be able to write music that more accurately represents that. Right now, the complete lack of structure makes it too hard to pick out any concept other than disorganization and chaos. Listen to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and ignore the singing; you'll see that the shifts in volume, tone, speed, etc. of the music indicate a plot almost as well as the lyrics do.

okay i'm going to be completly honest here.
I never actually wrote any music for this album, i only had a general idea of where I wanted to go with it. I wanted it to sound like space, and to me space is chaos. From the outset I wanted it to be free of music theory. I wanted it to be pure improv and experimentation. This album is basically one long jam session of me torturing my guitar, and consistently stoned out of my mind while recording it. I never had any intention of sending it in to record labels, maybe pass it around to a few DJ friends but thats it. I knew people would mostly hate it, hence why the poll options are so accurate.
the space bit kind of put it into context for me. It's not that great, but it gave me imagery of being lost and drugged in space. If that's what you were trying to go for, you achieved it. I haven't listened to the rest of it, though so idkI posted already, but I have something more to add :]

Unless it was intentional, I couldn't differentiate between tracks. If you get some drums in there it may sound experimental...without it just sounds like pointless tinkering.AirGuitarist87I felt some subtle tribal drumming would do a lot for it
Im going to give you extremely inspirational advice which was passed on to me by my baseball coach: "Your going no where kid, quit."
Wow, this is incredible man. Forget what others say, i see extreme talent and potential. Just kidding!
