From New York City to Virginia. It was eleven years ago, so I don't remember exactly how long it took, but I think it took about ten hours or so.

birmingham to hamburg by coach - 700m took 18 hours across 5 countries to watch the villa play HSV, no drink allowed thanks to the police checking the bus for hooligans, dropped us off in the red light district for 5 hours drinking, watched us lose 3-1 (through one eye) and then went straight back home!

also went from xi'an to beijing by overnighttrain again 700m cant remember how long it took but it was horrible, i reckon my coffin will have room to it than my "bed" on that train

I recently moved from NY to FL. 18 hour drive over two days by myself.

Aside from a couple of funny podcasts and audio standups, I've never been more bored in my life.

When I was young my parents were fond of road trips and we drove from Oceanside Calfornia to Yellowstone Park in Wyoming a couple of times. Sometimes we would drive straight back and other times we would cut across over to Oregon and then drive down the coast. Some really nice memories of all that gorgeous desert and mountain territory taking time out to fish small streams and rivers and perhaps look for some very odd rocks n' critters.

I went from point A to point B and by that point I thought I'd never make it through the alphabet. ...I drove from the coast of South Carolina to the middle part of Kentucky. I don't remember how long the drive was but I survived.

How can you relax sitting on an uncomfortable seat next to some fatass that is munching down on the poorest quality of peanuts?

Las Vegas to Seattle, so about 1200 miles and 20ish hours. I did it straight through with some friends. It was pretty horrible because one of my friends couldn't drive stick, which is what my car was. He tried to of course though. The scenery wasn't all that great except for Washington; just a bunch of desert.

Boise ID - Reno NV - Las Vegas NV - Tucson AZ - New Orleans LA - Miami FL

That was back in the summer of 1994. I remember hurrying to make it across the Florida Panhandle because Tropical Storm "Alberto" was approaching.

I didn't drive at night and the trip took 3 days.

Straight through driving would be 24 hours from Dallas, TX to Santa Barbara, CA.

Longest overall was 23 hours from Lubbock, TX to roughly Detroit, MI. Had about a 3 hour nap, then another 19 hour drive back to Dallas, TX. So about 42 hours total.

It sucked, towards the end I was about to throw up, my mom bought special wrist bands that had a small plastic semi sphere on it that pressed against your wrist, it was meant to work in the same way acupuncture does and it actually helped surprisingly.

I forgot to say what they were for, they were meant to prevent the feeling of car sickness.
