Definetely do-able. I lost about that much in less than a month. I just ran a lot and cut back on sugary food and drink.

If you don't eat then i'd imagine decay would set in after about 2-3 weeks at which point the pounds would start falling off.

Uhhh.. This one summer I did nothing but play Final Fantasy 11, Eat Oatmeal, and Drink Arizona Green Tea and I lost 10 pounds.
Of course I ate dinner if I liked what my mom made, but not always. Basicaly though I really cut down eating what could be considered "A Meal" to dinner only. I believe I stopped eating sweets almost completely too. I also savored the feeling of an empty stomach. I was pretty messed up at this time I guess =P

If you exercised though while controlling your diet strictly you can probably easily lose 15 pounds in 5 weeks.
Atleast thats my opinion.

Look up a good guide to weight-cutting or talk to a trainer about how to cut weight. Because that's what you're doing. You're not losing weight, you're cutting it. Wrestlers and fighters do it all the time (which may be why you're doing this?) For them, it usually ends up being a combo of dieting and dehydration without overdoing either one. A lot of running/cardio and hitting the sauna combined with careful caloric intake. That being said, if you do that, you're not going to keep it off.

Yah, but it'll be hard, got to do cardio at least 5 times a week, and eat like no more than 2000 calories a day if not less. Plus the holidays are rolling by, so you have be careful not to over eat on the bad stuff. Good luck, it's definitely possible if you work hard.

It's also going to depend on how currently fat you are. If you are relatively in shape and active and eat well but still need 15 pounds to lose, I think it will be tough. If you are quite heavy and eat horribly, it shouldnt be too hard once you start eating right and exercising.

Depends on where your at really. If you're overweight then it should be pretty easy with a few modifications to your diet and some hard work in the gym. If your already pretty fit then it will probably be harder.

Yeah, definitely. I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks.

Just cut back on eating drastically, I mean eat healthily, and run maybe a mile a day, half a mile a day, just keep at it. Its MUCH easier than you think.

Weight loss people generally say 2 lbs a week is what you should do, but I don't think 3 would hurt so long as you keep yourself healthy and don't fall into the malnourished/exhausted thing.

I lost 25 lbs in about 8 weeks. It is very doable... that is, if you are losing it from excess. If you are losing weight to fit a weight cIass and you are already fit, it is probably not very doable, especially if you don't want to starve yourself.

Possible, but you should really go for more of a slow burn. It'll keep the weight off longer.

Go on one of those stupid detox diets.

Really, if I wanted to lose weight I'd take it slow and eat healthy, excercise... take the time and make yourself look good.

Thing is don;t make goals like that. "Make goals like become healthier in 5 weeks". What's going to happen is that after 3-4 weeks you are going to see little to no difference and give up on loosing weight all together. It takes time, patience, and hard work. You can achieve that number, BUT don't focus on the number or else you will ultimately fail.

Are you in shape to begin with? Meaning your not obese? If so 15 pounds is very do able, however if your just around 15/20 pounds over weight, then it could be a problem.

there are 3500Kcal in 1lb of fat. so just burn get yourself a net loss of 10500kcals a week and youre there. good luck. anything else is probly water weight.

of course this is the only thing ive learned in my 1.5 credit nutrition 100 class. so yeah.....im an engineer not a dietitian......that said. if youd like to reach a speed around mach 3 im sure we can manage to do that in 5 weeks if youre willing to foot the bill.

pm me if youre interested in the latter.

3 pounds a week? For sure. Go to the gym. That's what I do. Other than that can't help you. I don't want to recommend a diet.

Depending on your starting size.. 15 lbs in 5 weeks is 3 lbs a week and is a healthy weight loss per week if you're heavy enough.. 1-2 pounds for smaller individuals.. but really large individuals can lose weight much more rapidly and still be in a healthy range. I have no idea how much you weigh so it's really hard for me to say. But, yeah, it's possible. My pointers are simple.. find a calorie calculator and calculate how many calories you need to burn on weekly basis in order to lose 3 pound a week.. Then eat that many calories a week.. depending on your activity level. Your activity level doesn't need to be raised to an extreme level if you're basically sedentary right now and dont' do much outside of your daily routine.. up it to a moderate level.. you don't need to kill yourself to get results.. especially if you're eating right. Of course I'm not being very specific and you can find this information on google.

Losing 15 pounds of fat would be very very difficult. Losing 15 pounds of mass in general (including water weight and muscle) is pretty do-able. It wouldn't be hard to cut off 10 pounds of water weight alone with a week or two of strict dieting, but this weight would come right back very easily.

The standard weight loss (being actual weight, not water weight)regime is about 1-1.5 pounds a week, which is a deficit of 500-750 calories a day. This is pretty do-able. You're looking at a deficit of 1500 calories a day, which is a bit more extreme. Meaning if you ate 2500 calories in a day (pretty average consumption), you'll need to work off 4000, for example.

Yeah, easy too if your sole goal is weight loss. Of course some drugs help, when I was 15 I lost 60 pounds in 3 months because I decided that not eating and putting chemicals in my body was badass.

Healthy weight loss, or so I've been told, is 1-3 pounds per week so totally safe and doable.

I talked with my brother today, he lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks, and he wasn't/isn't fat. He was a little chubby (he used to be in very good shape, until he got married), but he basically hasn't had red meat in 5 months, mostly turkey and chicken, jogs for 3 miles a day. He said it was hard and he's often hungry, but if you're motivated enough you can do it, as he has proven.

Might not like my suggestion, but go vegetarian if you want to lose weight. Do your best to avoid dairy products, do cardio workout a lot, take vitamin supplements, and make sure you eat plenty of high protein vegetables. Will help you maintain muscle and you will burn fat.

This is also very true, when I cut out all meat besides fish I dropped 15 pounds in my first month without exercising. Dairy is super fattening as well. If you need a deterrent then just remember milk is cow puss!

Full on vegetarian is pretty tricky, cut out all meat except for lean chicken and fish for better results. When you're losing weight you want to get in some lean high qualityprotein sources as much asyou can and vegetables just don't cut it that much, at least if you're looking to maintainmost of your muscle mass. Most high proteinvegetarian foods come along with either high starch or fat contents (beans, lentils and nuts for example).

But yeah, vegetablesshould make up a good bulk of your diet.
