I knew Jack would be the one to replace Jacob, and i am very interesting to see how far they go with the "you're like me now" dynamic.

I suppose that means MIB cannot kill Jack, now?

So it looks like the concert that they are all going to is Jack's son David's concert. That is where they are all going to meet. Jack, Kate, Desmond, Sayid and Hurley are already going there (as well as Jack's ex-wife who I am assuming to be Juliet). I don't know how Locke, Sun and Jin are going to get there though...

Call me Devil's Advocate, but.... how do we even KNOW that Flocke is dangerous off-island? How do we know that he is capable of all this destruction? What if since he got his power from the heart of the island, his power STAYS on the island? Maybe he doesn't realize that he's powerless off-island. It's just a theory, but we don't actually know that Flocke/Smokey can do what he does on-island, off island.

If Richard is still alive (which i think he is) he will most certainly die in the finale. I hope they give him a proper death, he's earned a good rest.

And i am dreading the moment when MiBis done using Ben, and kills him. That would make me rather upset. As horrible a human being Benjamin Linus is...i dunno..there's something to like about that little weasel :P

depends if you are a richard fan or not I guess, they built up richard with the mystery behind his charater, ab aeterno and then he just dissapears for half the season and could be dead....

I'm willing to bet money that we have not seen the last of Richard, he's going to be involved in some major event in the final minutes, I can feel it. Someone here made a suggestion that in the end, Ben and Jack are the two that preside over the island, and I think Richard is going to play a role in that. I'm really starting to think it's very possible

What I want to know is why MiB took so long to slay Richard. Obviously its not against the rules for MiB to kill him, so why did it take him so long? He could have offed Jacob's partner long before the Oceanic even crashed. Sorry, but I'm pissed about his death. Itwas just lame and without explanation.

My full theory: The 3 concerts (Miles, Jack, Desmond) are all the same. This would presumably place Sawyer, Kate, Sayid, Miles, Widmore, Charlie, Eloise, Charlotte, Jack, Juliet (ex wife), Desmond, Daniel, and Hurley in the same place. Perhaps Claire as well. I think that the alternate timelime is actually the epilogue of the entire story. The happy ending, so to speak. Locke would be able to walk, Linus would have Alex and perhaps Rousseau, Jack has a happy relationship with his son, Hurley is lucky, etc. I also think the point of the Alex scene in What They Died For was to sort of remind us about Miles' powers regarding the dead. This would set up a return for Miles to the barracks where he would receive information from Widmore. In the episode, Ben went with the MIB because he was promised the island to himself after the MIB leaves the island. Yet, at the end of the episode, the MIB says, in front of Ben, that hes going to destroy the island. This would leave Ben with the task of stopping him, so a potential double cross is in the works.bmaninc

I think now that Kate was crossed off as a candidate for her mother status, so that explains why all the mothers died. Their candidate status was eliminated, so their usefulness was eliminated. Like Zoey.

MaybeJacob did this because he feels that the successor should be a stranger, not your descendant. Unlike him.

Good episode. I agree with the theory that the concert will be Driveshaft, Faraday, Jack's son etc. to bring everyone together in a sense. I really hope that isn't Richard dead, just seemed too quick. Although if Lapedas is dead he died in the same way so he could be... Really looking forward to the Finale, but I'll be real sad when it's all over. Also just to add something, earlier in the thread people were discussing what they were going to watch afterwards etc. and the subject of Prison Break was brought up. I agree and encourage everyone to watch the first 2 series of that television show. BUT go no further, the 3rd series I believe hat's the one where*******SPOILER********they get put back in prisionhighlight to read***************END***************** That was just ridiculous and spoiled the series for me...
