Life and Death is amazing. I agree. Life & Death, Oceanic 815 for me. And one of the Locke ones. I just don't know the name...I remember it was in his first centric episode 1x04, at the end of the episode. I feel sad for some reason. :([QUOTE="solidruss"]
So changing gears, what musical score is everyone's fav?
One of my favorites is There's no place like home
Really beautiful

Never again (or not soon) will a show engage the audience as Lost has.bmanincThat's an awfully bold statement. How did you come to that conclusion?

[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"]What is the consensus on Across the Sea here? I know it's pretty much disliked/hated by critics. I know Rotten Tomatoes didn't like it. Just curious what most people on here think of it.ChiddalingI was slightly disappointed with the episode. I expected more answers to be thrown at me, but it was still good nonetheless. I think they dragged the child scenes for too long. That was my problem with the episode....the child actors kind of ruined it for me. That and I wanted to see the statue again.
I'm not sure I would WANT to watch 50 episodes in a day and a half.bmanincBecause I had nothing else to do and I was addicted :P

I don't usually get engaged by shows like this. I mean, Mad Men, the Sopranos, they were (and are) great shows, but I'm not constantly guessing what certain things mean, why certain things are happening. Are they entertaining? Absolutely! Do they engage me as much as Lost? No, not even close.

I hope we have one last moment where they use one of those songs as they show the losties again.[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"][QUOTE="bmaninc"]Never again (or not soon) will a show engage the audience as Lost has.bmanincThat's an awfully bold statement. Second, the food drops from Dharma. Whats up with that?bmaninc
This! I thought I was the only one that remembered this.
:P
I'm going to be really pissed if they don't answer this.
[QUOTE="bmaninc"]First, the egyptian angle, the statue, the hieroglyphics. Second, the food drops from Dharma. Whats up with that?JML897
Good luck with those. They don't seem like something at the top of the writers' priority lists with just 2 and a half hours left. :P
That last one should be answered, but I don't see how it would be.[QUOTE="bmaninc"]First, the egyptian angle, the statue, the hieroglyphics. Second, the food drops from Dharma. Whats up with that?JML897

I'm guessing, and seriously this only a guess, but I think the writers at this point want you to take a leap of faith that the Egyptian angle is from visitors to the island form ages ago, and needs no real explanation.
The food drops, I seriously doubt we'll hear anything about that, but i would love it if they did explain it
The food drops are easy: Mikhael probablty communicated with outside DHARMA folk and kept the drops going, while impersonating DHARMA members so not to arouse suspician. Many cultures were probablty brought to the island, including Egyptians or they may have been there before Jacob. I think I read that the Across the Sea story took place around 43 BC. Found that on DarkUFO.Travo_basicIt doesn't seem that easy to me.

You mean the black rock? I buy it. Also, regarding Mikhael, wouldn't the Dharma folk that hes talking to actually expect RESULTS from the experiments on the island? Unless thats why Ben started doing experiments. Unexplained things include why Ben has all this money all of a sudden, why the Dharma people in Ann Arbor aren't pissed that their sub is stolen...

Okay, now that I don't buy at all. A boat was able to destroy the statue? I mean, really? What is this statue made of eggs? Okay, let's just ignore that for now. After this boat destroys the entire statue, it somehow still has the momentum to be carried half-way into island. That must have been some wave. Oh, and the people on board of the boat survived? Ah, yes.. that makes sense.

And the ghostly crap that happened in that small shelter when Ben was introducing Locke to "Jacob"... I swear if that's not answered, I'm gonna punch them writers so hard it send em to an alternate dimension.I'll watch it with my wife, as usual. So is anyone watching the finals with some friends? I am attending a get together with some of my friends who are in high school who watch the show. So I probably wont be on here... Idk

Yes, yes it does. :) bmaninc
It does what? I mean, I just don't understand how anyone could accept that as a plausible answer.
I really enjoyed Season 6 so far. I only started watching the show on April 10, though, and caught up to watch it live starting with The Candidate. Great episode to begin on.bmaninc
I watched Season 1 to Season 6 Epi 11 "Happily ever After" in 2 weeks :P Started March 21 and finished around April 6-7 ( was out of town from April 1-5). I'm not proud of my long stints in front of the tele but I can say it was very satisfying :D. A friend and Gamepsot user lent me Seasons 1-5 and dl'd the rest, the Bluray boxset will be mine when it comes out. These guys deserve my money for future projects.
Anyone see the Super 8 trailer?
Because its all we have. You can be mad, or you can deal with it.bmaninc
I realize it's all we have, that doesn't mean I have to "buy it."
I'm not mad. It wasn't a huge question I was wanting answered. I'm just saying it was an idiotic explanation.

I would say they're on the same level.;)
EDIT: Actually, no I wouldn't. I still think the ship explanation is the worst.

Well what exactly did you expect? An island that was moving through time. An island that had a smoke monster on it. An island that had a hatch with a computer in which you typed in the same numbers every 108 minutes. Not trying to sound rude. But Lost has had some random things through out the the six seasons.[QUOTE="Chiddaling"][QUOTE="Travo_basic"] Wow! That must've been some marathon sessions.Travo_basicHaha. I watched LOST from Season 1-Season 5 in 20-24 days. Didn't feel long. Just have to watch around 3-5 episodes a day :P We've done the marathons with ALIAS and Battlestar Galactica. It can be fun. Alias was so damn good the first couple of seasons, then it went flying off the rails :(
