[QUOTE="Wiifan001"] [QUOTE="Bourbons3"] God has no place in government. WhoeverthecrapquotedthisThis statement is so false to such a HUGE extent it's not even funny. Then it should be easy to argue then. Saying that God has no place in government is saying that God either shouldn't be involved or isn't able to be involved. Either way, that's saying God's limited, and he's anything but.

Beat me to it.[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"] But, in all seriousness, care to justify that comment? wiifan001What for? You've already made it clear you won't listen no matter what I say. You've just revealed that.
No, it's just I have never heard a single good argument against same-sex marriage.
Or, are you not giving one because you can't justify prohibiting it outside of Bible verses?

What ever happened to freedom, the right to pursue happiness, all men are created equal under the law? What ever happened to something more important, the Bible? God's law > man's law. So you would deny that nice hetero hindu couple at the end of the street married status too? In the eyes of the Christian Bible, THEY aren't really married either, I guess.

I generally only mock opponents of same-sex marriage when they provide only Bible verses and unsupported claims about how homosexuality is bringing down society as justification... oh wait, that's exactly what you've given us.

See? Even now, you still laugh. That's foolishness. Why? You haven't provided a single legitimate, supported reason for prohibiting same-sex marriage. When I ask you for one, you refuse to provide it.
Why should I take your opposition seriously?
It is a progression in that it grants the same rights to everyone.Meh tbh i've never really cared about gay marriage I mean if I were given a choice i'd probably legalize it but I don't see it as some type of huge "society progression"

Saying "no it isn't" to everything is not an arguement.ithilgore2006You weren't even a part of this, and I fail to see how that statement got anywhere. I'm mocking your arguement. It consists of "same sex marriage is bad. It is it is it is", along with a healthy dose of "i'm christian so everyone should listen to me". I've seen your same complaints a million times over. They're not valid, and you have no real argument against same sex marriage.
meh.. same-sex couples are scary(girls are fine, the guys freak me out). th3warr1orWe are pretty terrifying, aren't we? BOOGA BOOGA!

Ah good news and although I believe that same sex marriage is an inevitability, it's nice to see several states supporting the move so soon.
The arguments against gay marriage were the same used against interracial marriage which was just over 40 years ago when Loving v. Virginia was going on. The same crap about how it's unnatural, wrong, poisons society, etc. They're illogical and based solely on hate and discrimination. There is no logical reason for gays not to be able to marry.
I also love how people cite the sanctity of marriage, straight people ****ed that up many years ago.
and you try to continue to bring me out on the spotlight. Far too close-minded and blinded from HIS words to see the truth. I've said my reason numerous times. Seems here I'm trying to guide a blind man from shrouded darkness and yet will beat me with a stick if I get near him. It's your own doing.wiifan001You'd have to give us something tangible to ponder for us to close our minds.
