Keith Olbermann does a quick rundown of some of McCain's most blatant flip-flops.

Olbermann: In 2006 he (McCain) said on Hardball, 'I think that gay marriage should be allowed,' Then after the commercial break, he added, 'I do not believe that gay marriages should be legal.' "

Plenty more in the video.

What are you trying to do? Do you honestly think you're going to sway anyone's vote?

You have your opinion and that's great, don't waste space and everyone's time with this garbage.

At least McCain has actually held some type of legal job before, unlike his competitor with NO experience who just talks a big game but wont execute it.

By the way, McCain has done more with his life than most will so quit dissing him. 0wn3d

Keith Olbermann? Wow

He's honestly one of the most pathetic human beings I have ever seen. You see his show always loses in the ratings to Bill O'Reilly, so Keith Olbermann calls Bill O'Reilly "the worst person in the world" almost every day on his show.

Obama has flip-flopped just as much. The thing is he has absolutey no record because he has no experience. He missed more votes than any other senator, so people don't really know what he stands for.

And I really couldn't care less if McCain flip-flops. I would do anything to keep this inexperienced, racist man, Barack Obama, out of office in 2008.

I don't know. I would think that bothering to respond - twice even - to threads that you supposedly don't care about would be more "embarassing."

His problem is that, deep down, he is a liberal person, his social views are very much like California/New England Democrats, but that is not how his party is. So he is stuck between two worlds and really needs to pick his words carefully, because many of his beliefs go against his party and the majority of people who will vote for him.

Olberman is pretty much the Liberal version of Bill O'Reilly.

And I've seen a lot of flip flopping by both Obama and McCain. God help this country, this is gonna be another rough 4 years.

Why are you defensive about his middle name? Does it seem controversial to you? Does it remind you of a mass murderer? Does it sound Muslim to you?

Just asking. I don't call the republican presidential nominee John Sidney McCain, and I'm pretty sure McCain supporters don't call him that either.

I think that's what the Republicans are going for.

Kind of sad how they are trying to make him out to be a muslim, when his father was an atheist and he is Christian.

Well what did you expect from McCain? He is a Republican, so natually, he is going to align himself with his party and support Republican ideas. If he didn't, he would be a DEM-O-CRAT. But McCain has walked across party lines many times, even being called a Democrat by his own party.

But I agree that McCain has had some misspeaks, but Obama has fallen from grace 2x's within a few weeks of each other.

First he broke his word about the public financing, a key platform. Now you might not see that as a big deal, but I see it as big deal because he used it as a platform on how he was going to change Washington, and as soon as he was effected, it was damn the principles, back to politics as usual.

And now he's setting himself up to possibly change his position about Iraq, another key platform. He hasn't completely flip flopped on Iraq just yet, but by stating that he is "refining" his position on Iraq, he is leaving the door open to come back and say, OOPS, we can't take the troops out just yet.

But if his supporters don't want to acknowledge those two instances, then how about his "refinement" on issues such as FISA, NAFTA, and gun bans. But I know that doesn't bother his supporters because they think he can do no wrong. I mean there could be a video tape of him biting the heads off sweet innocent little baby kittens, and they would still spout, "I'm still voting for him."

You see the key word here is honesty, which the average Obama supporter isn't when it comes to their candidate.

That picture of him with the Turban.. that's traditional Kenyan dress and they are a CHRISTIAN people, Muslims are a very small part of Kenya, only 10%.

So that's the dress style of a Christan people and people are making him out to be Muslim.

Ignorance is bliss I guess.

Flip-flopping is to be expected in politics, which is why politics sucks so much. It always leads to irrational backlash from both sides, with double standards abound. Pretty much the best thing you can do is look at the policies they generally haven't flopped over, and go from there. To that end, I still support Obama, albeit with not as much enthusiasm.

Well first of all, his dad was born Christian, then converted to Islam later on and then became an atheist when he started going to university. So both his parents were highly educated atheists.

Anyway, Kenya is a Christian country and that doesn't change the fact that the dress he was wearing is something worn by a Christan culture.

Ron Paul is one of the only people in congress who refuses to recognize genocides all over the world, even on bipartisan bills to recognize things like the Armenian genocide or genocide in the former Yugoslavia, you will find Ron Paul to be the only person saying no, America should not recognize these events as genocide.

Goes to show you alot about his personality.

If there was an incredibly blunt, forceful politician who wasn't a libertarian, I'd probably be on board. Unfortunately, the United States doesn't have any very coherent or reasonable far left parties, so at the moment I'm stuck with the democratic party. Obama was looking great until he won the nomination and started his move to the center, thus proving that he is indeed a typical politician.

Obama appearing as a Christian to the public eye doesn't make anything better. Most likely he is an Atheist and just masquerading as a Christian for the sake of his campaign. Either way, Dog bless him. He's on the right track.

Obama was looking great until he won the nomination and started his move to the center, thus proving that he is indeed a typical politician.

His repeated genocide denial doesn't strike me as very leftist.....

If there was an incredibly blunt, forceful politician who wasn't a libertarian, I'd probably be on board. Unfortunately, the United States doesn't have any very coherent or reasonable far left parties, so at the moment I'm stuck with the democratic party. I hope you didn't just imply that the Libertarians were far left...

Obama appearing as a Christian to the public eye doesn't make anything better. Most likely he is an Atheist and just masquerading as a Christian for the sake of his campaign. Either way, Dog bless him. He's on the right track.CreamBeav

Don't be so surprised, even the Catholic church is full of atheists masquerading (especially in the past). That's just the way the world is, it's very hostile to atheists, you have to pretend.

The few times I get asked what my religion is on real documents, I usually just say... umm I'm not very religion, but I believe in god.... that keeps them happy : /

[QUOTE="bman784"]Flip-flopping is to be expected in politics, which is why politics sucks so much. It always leads to irrational backlash from both sides, with double standards abound. Pretty much the best thing you can do is look at the policies they generally haven't flopped over, and go from there. To that end, I still support Obama, albeit with not as much enthusiasm. I saw an interview with Ron Paul and he seems to be the only person who deosn't flip flop? "Do you endorse McCain?"

"No, not unless he changes his views"

He's a real example of a Maverick, McCain just wants to appease liberals

Who, Ron Paul? I was referring to him as being blunt and forceful, not being on the left. I don't support Paul at all.

No, I didn't. I described Paul's admirable qualities, and how I'd like to see a politician on the left reflect them more.

Yeah, the cruel doctor

btw, do you have a link?
