Most Disturbing Scene

Whether it's TV or film does anyone have a particular scene or scenes they were fortunate, or for some unfortunate to have seen. I'm sure a lot of scenes from horror movies will be mentioned, but even other genres like drama, thrillers and even comedies have certain scenes which came across as quite disturbing.

I mean one could hardly say that Pulp Fiction is a horror movie yet some will say that the gimp and Marcellus Wallce rape scene got quite disturbing.

He walks cautiously past him to make sure he's safe.

It's the SAME German soldier they blindfolded and told to walk 1000 paces. It's the guy who can speak German and French and the two were joking with each other while Tom Hanks and the other guys were trying to decide his fate.

Watch it again; you'll see.

The guy who gets stabbed is also Jewish. The German guy gives him a death speech in German while he's stabbed. I wish I knew what he said.

Actually another that I find that is disturbing is when the guy in saving private ryan is lying there on the ground with half of his body blown off shouting for his mother.

Also in the pianist where the jews are being lined up and shot. The german stops on the last man to reload his gun and then shoots him. I would hate to be there just waiting to be shot.

And in schindlers list when the jewish boy is walking away from the nazi's house who he cleans. The nazi kills him with a sniper rifle and no one pays any attention to it. It disturbs me to see how little a jews life was worth back in those days.

This movie stars Heath Ledger, and it's about the drug addiction of his and his girlfriend's character, and how that addiction ruins their lives. The girlfriend gets pregnant, and they resolve to quit drugs for the baby. Their going through withdrawals while she's pregnant and the stress this puts on her body causes her to miscarry. She's pretty far along in her pregnancy, so she ends up delivering the dead baby. Heath Ledger's character walks around and holds it, and both of the parents are extremely distraught and freaking out. The camera keeps showing the baby. As a woman seeing this was like seeing one of your deepest intermost fears realized. I had nightmares for weeks.

in goodfellas when joe pesci stabs dennis farina whos in the boot of his car over and over again. i never look away from films or tv, but something about that made me squirm.

also in the departed when martin sheen takes a fall off the roof and splats right in front of where dicaprio is standing. i liked martin sheens character so i felt really bad that he died like that.

there are loads more disturbing horror movies but they dont effect me because i know there complete fantasy.

Yes, Deodato caught serious hell for that one and all the animal slaying scenes (and rightly so). They weren't staged, it wasn't special effects.....he allowed genuine animal slayings to be caught on film for this movie.

I wasn't talking about his trouble with the courts. When I said "caught hell", I was meaning general public and critical outrage over him allowing real animal slayings to be filmed for his movie.

There's a scene in City of God where this kid wants to be in a gang, so he starts hanging out with one. For his initiation they grab two very young kids from the slums who were trying to be gangsters. The leader asks each one where they'd rather be shot - the hand or the foot and shoots them. He then hands the gun to the kid and tells him to pick one to kill. Its a horrible scene because the two little kids revert to behaving like children once pain has been inflicted on them and you can tell the kid with the gun doesn't want to do it, but peer pressure gets the best of him :( manicfoot
