I remember when I was in the 4th grade or something and we had a conference about HIV and they showed us a cartoon movie about it. Near the end there was this part where there was a boy walking and some dude in a car called him. The boy went and some moments later you could tell the boy was being raped by the man who then gave him HIV. I was so disturbed, being a little kid, I wanted to cry. I remember the looks my classmates had when the movie was over. We were very disgusted.

Um, that would be pretty hard to do, but i'll try. It's a claymation where these kids meet a angel named Satan. It's a claymation based on Mark Twains last novel called The Mysterious Stranger, I think.

The scene where the American soldier is stabbed in Saving Private Ryan hit me pretty hard. I was young at the time, and it was probably the first thing I have ever seen where the good guy does not win. I haven't seen anything that you guys have said so far, but the part in Silent Hill with Pyramid Head in front of the church and that old lady.... Ugh.

4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days. Excellent movie. One I will never, ever watch again. I watched it in the car on a long trip, and had to turn it off for a little while after a rather shocking long-take of something I never want to see again. I almost threw up. It's one of the best films I've ever seen, but it's BEYOND depressing.

He didn't do nothing... He was tired and overpowered... That's the scene that just made me HATE Upham. I have never seen a more cowardly "soldier"... ever... the enemy who just killed your freaking buddy is walking right by you and he doesn't even have his freaking gun out!!! and he just cries.

It's sad that people think that. The whole purpose of his character was to show how innocent people were called up and expected to kill, yet so few people who saw that movie felt sorry for him. He cries because he realises his friend has died because of him, but he is unable to move himself to kill the german soldier, hence why he just breaks down on the stairs.

yeah everyone just assumes he is some kind of wimp when in realty they show you that from the beginning he shouldn't be there, the only reason he was wa s because he could speak the german language. It's like poeple forget that their are "real" people in the world who can't just run around killing others and have little thought about it. I felt bad for him he was the like little brother in the movie that should not have been there at all he wasn't made to kill not everyone is well no one is and he had no experience either.

Upham was suppose to be the audience. He was the least combat experienced in the group. The rest of the team were veterans of several campaigns or were airborne troopers who volunteered to be in combat. While I can understand why some people were pissed off at Upham most people I've talked to had to temper their disgust with some sympathy once they put themselves in his shoes.

Are you talking about how its disturbing that the soldier was able to do that so casually, or that Upham wouldnt help? Honestly, if you were scared out of your mind and you heard your comrage being slowly murdered and screaming like a banshee, would you really be able to do something except cry? I doubt it.
I just remembered, and i was talking about it with someone today, another movie that was slightly disturbing was the movie version of Jack Ketchums, The girl next door.Buck_Hotep

what's that about? I'm getting a nice little list of movies to watch...maybe

It's a film adaptation of Jack Ketchum's Girl Next Door. A fictional adaptation of the true crime-event of Sylvia Liken's torture and murder during the 1950's. A crime where young Sylvia Liken's was tortured repeatedly by her guardian who enlisted the help of the neighborhood kids to do the torturing.

They made another film based on that event called An American Crime that was much better than the girl next door. The girl next door was not a very good film, the acting was pretty mediocre and they didn't develop the overall story enough. An American Crime is a mucb better film, it has Ellen Page and Catherine Keener and it a really good film and overall it is much better a girl next door which almost relies on in your ace torture while An American Crime focuses on the story and characters more. The torture is still there, but it is more psychological, subtle, and implied.

Maybe I am just sick, but I thought Ravenous was hysterical, a great dark comedy. The end where they are both in the big trap was pretty funny too.

Films like that show that Ellen Page is one of the best young actresses around, shame so many people only see her in Juno. I also thought that Hard Candy was a pretty disturbing film at times, she was great in that one too.

Films like that show that Ellen Page is one of the best young actresses around, shame so many people only see her in Juno. I also thought that Hard Candy was a pretty disturbing film at times, she was great in that one too.

yeah she is a great actress but yeah doing th emain stream juno was a kind of "bad" thing in the sense everyone only think of that whe you mention her name.

I thought she was good in juno, I just found her character really annoying at times. She always impresses me with the roles she takes, even if the film isnt so great. She was good in The Stone angel, and Mouth to mouth as well,
4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days. Excellent movie. One I will never, ever watch again. I watched it in the car on a long trip, and had to turn it off for a little while after a rather shocking long-take of something I never want to see again. I almost threw up. It's one of the best films I've ever seen, but it's BEYOND depressing. observer77

I've seen it but I am not sure what you are talking about so what part are you talking about?
When she returns to the hotel room and the camera pans down to reveal the dead fetus on the floor wrapped up in the towel, and the shot stays on screen for a while. Just disturbed the hell out of me. After the equally disturbing double-rape, I couldn't take it anymore and had to take a break.
The part in "Saving Private Ryan" where the German soldier stabs Apaum slowly and deliberately while his partner does NOTHING to stop it. Then the soldier smiles at him and walks out while he sits there like a scared old woman.IamLegend316
I always have to skip that part. :x
