this does not count movies that I want sequels for that already have sequels..like Rocky,Indiana Jones,ect,ect..
Definitely Anchorman. Bring back the cast, give supporting characters like Luke Wilson and Jack Black a bigger role, and add in John C. Reilly and Owen Wilson to complete the perfect comedy. sequel.
I want one for the Incredibles, though, and maybe Avatar.Grodus5I believe James Cameron is working on a second and third Avatar
Star Trek (seems inevitable anyways)quikdash6Ah yes :)

I dunno, man. At first, I was demanding a sequel, and a sequel is perfectly set up for us.
But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that we really don't need to see what happens next. The ending of the movie and the uncertainty of what happens next actually makes that work better. Do we really need to see what happens to Wickus? Do we really need to see whether or not Christopher Johnson returns to liberate his people? The more I think about it, the more that I think that the answer is "no."
Now, District 9 certainly DESERVES a sequel more than most other movies. Most movies have to resort to ridiculous contrivances in order to have a sequel in the first place, whereas District 9 perfectly sets up a sequel and a sequel would entirely make sense. However, District 9 doesn't NEED a sequel at all. I'd like to see a sequel, provided that it lives up to the original movie. Absent that, I'm prefectly happy if they left the story exactly where it is now. I'm perfectly happy not knowing what happens next.
Terminator Salvation. I really wanna see the future war (as seen breifly in T1, 2 and 3) made into a 2 hour epic. Nows the perfect time to make that film, with Salvation set during the beginning of the war and the resistance being run by John Connor.Hackers90
Meh...the hell with the Terminator series. Like Alien, Terminator was a great ****ing idea that got stretched out way too thin. Those series started out with absolutely CLASSIC movies, and got dragged out so long that they basically became jokes.
It's too late for those series to die with dignity, and it's too late to ever get the dignity back. So just pull out a shotgun and put those series out of their misery. They're relics of the past, let them die.
This is particularly true with Terminator, since Terminator deals with ****ing time travel, yet could never really settle on a consistent timeline which makes sense. So we're left with a totally muddled up storyline which is just a whole mishmash of ridiculous stuff that keeps getting increasingly more stupid the longer that these movies keep getting made. And furthermore, even when they did a storyline based on the future war...and thus FINALLY had a reason to stray away from series cliches such as time travelling robotic heroes, they still forced their way into making the story about a time travelling cyborg hero who sacrifices himself in order to save John Connor. So yeah...**** that series. let it die. And even if they ever did a proper version of the Future War, it'd still at best merely be a PREQUEL for The Terminator. And...we all know that prequels pretty much entirely suck.
My point being: if another Terminator movie gets made, it's NOT because there's another story to be told. It's gonna be because seeing humans blow up robots is ****ing cool. And I'm not gonna argue with that. Seeing humans blow up evil killer robots most certainly IS cool. But the Terminator movie series is creatively dead at this point. If someone wants to make a "humans and robots go to war" movie, then fine. There's just absolutely no reason to make it have anything to do with The Terminator except from the standpoint of brand recognition. And even that's waning off, since I hear that the latest Terminator movie didn't do nearly as well as expected.
This one, plus Blade runner.even though some of these are on the table I wont believe it until I see them.

It probably doesn't count but it's going to be a TV show on FOX
I can't think of any right off the bat though
this got me thinking about two types of sequels...
1) a continuation of a story with the same cast
2) same concept as first film, different cast
Has there ever been a good type 2 sequel? serious question, not trolling anything
I have to find the link, but Paramount has officially killed the planned sequel.Definitely Anchorman. Bring back the cast, give supporting characters like Luke Wilson and Jack Black a bigger role, and add in John C. Reilly and Owen Wilson to complete the perfect comedy. sequel.

Seems like most people are just spouting off movie titles where it doesn't make much sense to make a sequel to it. I think Serenity would be good. Star Trek (seems inevitable anyways) Pushquikdash6i agree completely with push to bad it didn't make enough money for the studios to probably fund it but i still thoroughly enjoyed that movie
^ .....Batman?Baconbits2004I more meant of like entirely new people and story. Batman is the same characters

I thought I was going to go through this whole thread without seeing one good idea (IMO), and then you said this! God yes they must do this that would make for the best comedy in years
Star Trek, Sin City, Kung Fu Hustle, and Zombieland. And finish off the 28 and Blood & Ice Cream trilogies. I can't wait any longer :x
Serenity.cd_rom
I'd rather they just give it a TV revival. Some lost episodes or something between when the crew is still intact. :(
Serenity.cd_romNice! This gets my vote. Although, from what I understand, Serenity was really a climax for the Firefly series (which I've only watched a handful of episodes of). Now that we know what the Reavers are and all, I'm not sure what they could do (other than maybea war flick to take 'em out once and for all).
Hitman, really need to make Hitman 2.face_ripperCan't tell if serious. I would like a sequel to The Fifth Element.
Chronicles of Riddick. Richard B. Riddick is in my opinion one of the most fascinating Sci Fi characters ever created. Every line that comes out of his mouth is epic. I'll take another Riddick game too. I don't care what people say about "Assault on Dark Athena", it was awesome. Not as good as Escape from Butcher Bay but still.
Star Trek, Sin City, Kung Fu Hustle, and Zombieland. Jackboot343Oh my geez, I want a Zombieland 2 :P
[QUOTE="TheShadowLord07"]This.I have hard feelings for District 9 because they stopped making the Halo movie so they could make District 9.distirct 9

I second this notion, I never understood why pitch black and the chronicles of riddick aren't widely regarded as the sci fi gold they are. Riddick is the only role Vin Diesel is good as (okay maybe dom in fast and furious..sue me I love f&f). But yeah, Riddick is just so badass they need to make another oneChronicles of Riddick. "Wizards," "Big Trouble In Little China," and one last "Friday The 13th" (it would make 13 movies) to finally kill off Jason and put us out of his misery.
