[QUOTE="xhellcatx"][QUOTE="Alucard32"] youve seen subhumans? cool when they came i couldnt make it to the show... my friends and girlfriend went without me :( but yea usually at smaller venues people are cool and usually dont want people getting hurt, and they save you before you hit the floor... or help you up fast.. but at huge shows people dont give a **** and it sucks and it ruins the show... AFI had to stop playing like 4 times to tell people to quit crushing people against the rail.. Alucard32

Yea, most of my shows were seen in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and they are small enough to be intimate but large enough (usually) to where you have a little elbow room. The Subhumans were awesome, though they were 4 hours late in starting. Ive no idea why....but it was worth the wait. ^_^ ...Thats the one great thing about Minnesota, every show i went to, the people you were surrounded by didnt wanna smash you to bits...big plus for me, since im so tiny and fragile lol i break easy

yea i live in san diego and i guess a big venue here is soma... its like you said small enough to be intimate but big enough for a big band... its where subhumans played... but yea nice avatar btw.. i saw it before but i never said anything.

lol thanks. >_> *whispers* i stolded it >_>.....lol Hellcat Records is great tho...i love their give em the boots BUT ITS NITE TIME NOW. GAH...SHEESH. LEMME GO TO SLEEP ALREADY PEOPLES! lol *runs and sleeps*...*runs into the wall* ow...*runs to bed then goes to sleep...* x_>

punk was never supposed to be about talented musicians........................................X360PS3AMD05

It didn't necessarily mean they couldn't have talent....I think they thought they had talent.

As Stephen Colbert says:

"Like punk rockers, I know it's more important to be passionate about playing the guitar than to actually know how to play the guitar."

true, but when the music works well together, you get your point across much faster/easier.
Ok, thats all imma go bed now x_x

thats true... there are limits.. thats kinda why i got over traditional "i hate everything" punk and moved onto music with similar meaning but better way of expressing it... im going to bed so ill say one last thing... in a way i feel as though punk music is like a teenager.. immature but not childish, theyre heart is in the right place but they go about it wrong because theyre upset and angry... which is understandable. but at some point you get over that anger and move towards a solution using the prime punk principles. thats what i believe and what i experienced. good night

You have to go to live shows. The energy makes up for the lack of skills.

Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor the money. Live shows mean crap to me.

I like live shows.....you can see if the band has talent that way as well.  Though I haven't been to many lately as they have become a bit of an expense.

punk music is about not caring really.  its not supposed to have huge production values like your justin timberlake songs.  if you hear a vocalists voice dubbed over his own voice... its too much. god bless the ones that still scream into the mics. god bless your sid vicious' who learn to play bass in one night by taking a lot of drugs.

thats punk rock.   having something to say and saying it.  there arent really many punk bands out these days

its all on how each person interprets music... imo its more about the movement of the music , that can make up for other shortcomings... but somebody else might think the opposite. to each his own.

I like punk so it's all good.
