:) Traffic is a very broad and multi-faceted film, which provides for both a good experience and the film's undoing. The problem is that this movie tries to condence an entire miniseries into a measly two-and-a-half hours. In spite of the unfocused quality, the stories are still well executed and layered. Traffic is a masterpiece in every way. I've never seen the miniseries but by itself it is perfect. I disagree, but I'm glad you love it so much.
:) While I'm not givin it a perfect rating, I cannot point out any flaws in this film. It is a brilliant movie, but Dogme 95 has always been a bit too raw for my taste. Still, it is a powerful film, and Emily Watson was amazing.
:D Coppola's unsung masterpiece is overlooked because it is less plot-centric than you would think, considering the label of "thriller." Regardless, Gene Hackman puts together a top-notch understated performance, and the theme of paranoia is intriguing. The ending was one of the greatest I've seen.
