Marijuana users are more likely to believe in myths.

I don't understand why nobody is posting any sources but,

http://www.drugpolicy.org/marijuana/factsmyths/

http://www.drugtext.org/sub/marmyt1.html

http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_myth.shtml

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/25/AR2006052501729_pf.html

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=large-study-finds-no-link

http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/news/20030701/heavy-marijuana-use-doesnt-damage-brain

Found all of that with a simple google search people, read for yourselves.

Its also a simple truth that cooking and vaporizing marijuana causes almost no harm to your body.

while i havent been a smoker for some time i can say there is nothing wrong with smoking weed once and awhile
maybe all you closed minded people will open up to new options and a different way to live your life
90% of the time i was with friends while smoking, we had a great time.
booze and cigs are legal why can't weed? people die from cancer and drunk driving, and from weed...nothing
as far as a gateway drug, yes it may be but people still make that choice to go on to harder drugs.
i've been smoking weed for 4 years and NOT ONCE have i ever wanted to do meth or coke.

stepnkev

Someone who chooses to NOT smoke weed does not mean they are close-minded.

I don't smoke weed and I have fun with friends 100% of the time which beats your 90%.

i said MAYBE
and the 90% was talking about smoking weed
10% i smoked alone
you don't have to i understand you're scared to do it
but MAYBE it will change you're mind on somethings

he means 90% of the time that he smoked, he was with his friends. the other 10% he was probably alone, or i guess with strangers, which is why he didn't include it in his 90%.

Hmm. I smoked it 4 times and if anything it impaired my judgement... But I guess it DID change my mind in some way--Specifically, I said a lot of things I shouldn't have said to people, ultimately making me look like a douche. Haven't smoked it in 5 years and I don't really plan to ever again.

Pretty rash to say people chose not to because they're scared. Not everybody experiences the same thing, or thinks the same way.

I have smoked weed before and I realized it is not something I need to lead a good fulfilling life full of fun. I have fun with all my friends every time and do not need weed to do that or lead a healthy and happy life-**** Maybe you should try giving it up, maybe it will change your mind on some things.

I guess some people need a :P at the end to catch on to a little sarcasm. Didn't think I needed to put that but it looks like I did.

You should bust more popular myths, such as marijuana being more harmful than cigarettes or the myth of it putting you at high risk for lung cancer.

I would recommend all of OT to watch "The Union." Probably the most informative marijuana documentaries that debunks myths of marijuana and backs it with viable sources and facts.

Watch it and enlighten yourself pl0x.

Anyway, can we stop with this pro marijuana stuff??? It is a drug that is known as a starter drug. And although it is impossible to get "addicted" to it in the technical term, it is very possible for you to have a dependancy on it. Oh yeah, and it is unhealthy as hell unless you got really bad glaucoma or something.

peaceoutmedusa

Just gonna throw it out there i don't smoke weed, never been high in my life.

But saying it is a starter drug is a bad point to bring up, people start drinking coke before they drink rum and cokes this doesn't mean they are going to become alcoholics, that doesn't mean there is a causation taking place... yes there may be a correlation but that doesn't mean squat.
...It actually is possible to get addicted to it, you can get addicted to most drugs, just hard compared to things like heroin, even harder then alcohol. Having a physical or psychological dependency is a sign of an addiction to something.
But yeah it is defiantly not healthy.

You may discuss the legal issues of drugs but any discussion of actual drug use or advocacy of it is not allowed here, period. Thanks.
