mental illness mixed in with the fact that China has a one child policy.China's treatment of children, babies and i guess people in general is so disgusting. FrostyPhantasmSo you base this on one instance? I guess the US is even worse since a guy kidnapped some girls, kept them trapped in a basement for years while raping them continually right?

How could you possibly be this stupid and uninformed?

Insulting is really a placeholder for a lack of arguments.1. Nowhere in his statement did he say he based his assertion on this one instance.
2. China has history of human rights violations.
3. The one child policy created a culture in which multiple children are undesirable.
4. This sort of thing has happened in china before, leading to high rates of abortions and child abandonment
5. You're argument is just a random comparison with no real bearing.
6. Do some research on the subject at hand before blindly disagreeing with someone.

I don't usually agree with you.. but I am here.. I mean.. China's policies on human rights is horrible. Feel bad for the people in general.[QUOTE="frannkzappa"]1. I will now ask you to refer to my first post.
what the hell, did she think she had to take a bad shit, gave birth instead?lamprey263....uh no its called infanticide

Pretty much sums up my thoughts, I was at school and didn't notice this.No. When I first saw the story on the 12 o' clock news on WTNH News 8 (CT's local ABC affiliate) the reporter said the baby was a boy. I was surprised to hear this because normally it is girl infants that have these kind of things happen to them (partly because of the one-child policy).was it a girl?

[QUOTE="lamprey263"]what the hell, did she think she had to take a bad shit, gave birth instead?BossPerson....uh no its called infanticide Well I knew they did that, that's why I didn't suspect such when I heard they were trying to save the baby, thought maybe it was an accident. I don't get it either, they've got too many men in China, by having a woman can't the family be choosy who the daughter marries? Like someone from social affluence and wealth?
I don't know what's worse: the fact that this happened or that my brain has started categorizing this as normal human behavior.
[QUOTE="Iffy350"]China is deplorable for doing that even if it is done for the population control of one billion people.China comits gendercide all the time.

I think we should cull the whole lot. The earth needs to have a population of around 3 billion and no more. The world population was at 3.75 billion people in 1968.

That would be a terrible idea for the only planet we know we can live in.It doesn't really matter because our species will go extinct within one hundred years. Which fate would you rather suffer, being vaporized in an instant or suffering from malnourishment, disease, dehydration, and unending war for a few decades.

Humans are innovative, so we will survive. We MIGHT survive but that is highly unlikely given the current status of the worlds ecosystems and the rate of environmental degradation. The extinction of wildlife on earth will threaten us with extinction soon enough. The oceans are becoming increasingly acidic and killing off the oceans creatures. If 70% of the earths surface is toxic and we manage to somehow survive without resorting to soylent green then good for the humans.

There are many problems humanity will need to face in the near future, but we can develop the technology to support ourselves and our planet.[QUOTE="Iffy350"][QUOTE="BranKetra"] Humans are innovative, so we will survive. BranKetra

Actually, I am not talking about short term solutions to long term problems. I anticipate sustainable answers to the problems everyone will face and many already do.Please Log In to post.
