But the way it is worded sounds as if that is the intent. Why not say something like "Do not think that my words will bring peace, for they will bring strife"? I think that it sounds more like an agenda than a matter of fact statement.Zagrius

Well, my translation tried to keep the "spirit" of the passage as closely as possible, but of course I couldn't know what he actually meant. Anyway, it's getting late so I'll probably keep on reading it tomorrow.Zagrius

Edit: To show good faith I'm going to stop commenting on what I've read. I'll just make it a personal matter of me reading the book and deciding for myself if I believe it or not.

With respect to the subject of this topic, it won't really help, just FYI...
because we dont know for sure that the new testament is in fact VALID. whether someone believes it or doesn't is entirely based on faith, but it takes more faith to believe that it is validI've been watching some Richard Dawkins movies on YouTube, and I thought of something...
When someone denies proof of God, why does no one ever challenge that belief with the validity of the New Testament?
