I've only seen one scene. It seems interesting, though. I can see myself actually watching this.

I thought it was fantastic. I don't completely understand the ending but for some reason I found it perfect. It just hit me pretty hard.

Its an interesting movie. At times its an exciting fast paced film but then it turns into a slow boring one, it keeps switchin between the two.

I think the ending was meant to emphasize the futility of all the violence and money chasing. As with life, nothing is ever really resolved, stuff happens and often there's no winner or vindication/justice.

Apparently it stayed true to the books ending? but I haven't read it.

I think fargo had the same themes (written by same guy - cormack mcarthy I think?) but still managed a satifying ending. I didn't feel satisfied by no country's ending though.

I think the sheriff's speech at the end was meant to be poignant but it didn't do it for me.

I liked the motion tracker scene a lot. Best motion tracker scene in a movie since 1986's Aliens.

And just like in Aliens, the following battle was pretty damn badass.

Yeah, the ending is exactly the same in the book. And I'm pretty sure Fargo was an original screenplay by the Coens

Great movie. Didn't hear it about it at all then saw it at the drive in back to back with another movie and loved it.

It's Chigurh btw and his name is based off of these things, he really wasn't meant to be understood fully but he obviously doesn't care about many of our traditional values and is used as symbolism of society taking a wrong turn. I kinda agree that it ended pretty weak though so can't blame you there.

i find the movie incredibly boring.

and before you guys yell out "your just a typical person who likes guns and bloods and sex in their movie"

WRONG.

im a city of god/trainspotting/son of rambow/slumdog millionaire/wall E and all sorts of different kind of movies kinda person.

ive watched amazing movies, but this is not one of them. i literally walked out of the theatre after the main character died half way through.

why?

because it just was un-inviting. the movie was nothing big on dialogue, nothing much on the whole plot and mostly just a thriller with a few plot twists.

the movie was just plain akward and boring.

idk. maybe its just me.

I liked it. Great atmosphere, symbolism, and suspense. I though the guy who played Chigurh was great. I liked the ending too even though a lot of people didn't, you were expecting this big showdown at the end but it never came, and instead you get great dialogue from the character that the movie is ultimately about.

sammyt555

Chiguhr. His actions are that of a psychopath (therefore won't make sense rationally). When he meets someone he believes them deserving to die and will kill them. If he questions this notion about someone he meets he will call on fate (flip of a coin) to decide if the person should die. To me he seemed that he was symbolic of fate and death(which cannot die or be stopped) , which is also why he lived at the end.

However, you have your opinion and I have mine. To each his/(her) own.

I loved the movie.

With that said, I cant really understand what specifically it is about. Even after reading the commentary and behind the scenes and stuff and hearing how the whole movie is actually ***SPOILER about Tommy Lee Jones' character END SPOLIER****, it still doesnt make much sense.

Its fun coming up with all the different possibilities though.
