The USA has already stated they will defend their ally if this gets out of hand. The first Chinese reports suggest they really aren't to happy with the stunt the N. Koreans pulled, and Russia said something in the lines of : everybody needs to chill the **** out.

efff.......... it's all probably joke matter to you guys, but I have family and friends there those NK douche bags...... btw, 2 dead and 16 wounded on South Korean sides. R.I.P. They attacked the sleeping quarters directly at first, and later attacked on civilian houses as well.funsohng

Don't worry. Its not a joke to those of us that have half a brain and pay attention. The US is committed to the security of the ROK. They are, at least in my opinion, one of our best and most loyal allies.

Yes they will. North Korea is seen as a wall by them, why do you think they tolerate them? If war breaks out they will take over part of the north and negotiate for it.

But why would they attack their own " ally "? It's like saying to the US "hey, you guys were right all along, our bad" .
I don't think they would invade N.Korea, because of their rivalry with the US.
In the worst case I even see them sending back up troops for N. Korea just like they did in Vietnam.

Not likely, thank God. We have approx 30,000 troops stationed in S. Korea. Are you advocating we pull them out and sit back and watch the NorKs overrun South Korea, one of our best and most loyal allies? A country that we have committed ourselves to defending for over 50 years. Really?

And then when the Kims go after Japan, should we just sit back and allow that as well?

Is it really so hard to understand that the US has a vital national interest in keeping the NorKs contained until their broken society crashes in on itself.
