Eight pages and it doesn't look like too many people actually read what he said

If you read what Obama actually said, then you should already know what is misleading in the title.

Mr Obama said: 'We don't have a stronger friend and stronger ally than Nicolas Sarkozy, and the French people.
I can assure any UK users on this site that the people of the United States do not agree with the President. We love you. And Australia
As much as we like to have tissy fits over which country is better, there is no better "man crush" relationship than between the United States and the United Kingdom.
Obama, I am dissapoint.

You forgot Canada.ok, i get the daily mail hate, fine, but do you think they could really get away with making up bull about the president of US with no flak?
The Guardian reported it also.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/jan/11/france-america-barack-obama
thats because obama is a p***y and likes other p***ys. better than the badass british people.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1346006/France-biggest-ally-declares-Obama-Presidents-blow-Special-Relationship-Britain.html
I don't really get what Obama's beef with the Brits is. But that looks silly.

ooooohhhhhh compliment a country, be careful!!! It means the rest are all scum and you only like that one, the way people are reacting it seems that way. Because you call someone your "best friend" isn't putting down anyone else who might be your "friend"X360PS3AMD05But Britain really is our BFF. It isn't even a matter of debate. The "special relationship" is one of the closest alliances ever held between two nations. And Obama just...walked away. They gave him all they had and he tossed it in the trash, he tossed it in the trash, he did...
France - Wussed out of both wars in the Middle East.
England - Manned up and went with us to the wars...and still there.
Whos the best friend? France....
I think it would have been more accurate if he had called France Obama's best friend, rather than the US's best friend.
Good god, people can be such flipping idiots on this forum.
You guys act as if he said the sky is green or declared that eating babies is okay.
He didn't say that France was the best ally, he just said that there are no greater allies, which you may not agree with, but is hardly any reason for anger.
The people who are getting mad at this are either irrational nationalists with their panties in a bunch or people who wanted another excuse to hate on Obama.
It's a case of not checking very well: A) What was actually said and B) The source and its reliability. Had people done that, they'd have seen a very tabloid and unreliable newspaper turned an innocuous remark probably made at every diplomatic summit (seriously, we have no better friend/ally must be baseline) into a media circus. To be honest though, one notices many posters on these forums simply allow the topic title to dictate their understanding. The people who are getting mad at this are either irrational nationalists with their panties in a bunch or people who wanted another excuse to hate on Obama.

I agree. People are so knee-jerk on this forum, especially if they dislike the politician in question.

Well f*** you France, guess we'll have to settle this on the seas again. eh?
Overlord93
