I'd have to say obama but the fact that were comparing one partys nominee to another parties vice president nominee is pretty sad for the Democratic party.borts

If I compared the Republicans' nominee to the Democrats' VP nominee, would that be pretty sad for the Republican party?

If they were comparable. Yes. Unfortunately for you, they aren't.

R, who's running for VP, has more leadership experience than D, who's running for the most powerful position on Earth.

Nonetheless, Biden has more congressional experience than McCain. If this is an issue, Biden compensates whatever lack of experience Obama has.

Can someone name one thing Obama's done for this country that qualifies him to be president? halfirishhomer
Who says u have to "Do" something for the country before you want to try to fix it? But i will give u one. he has worked helping those in need in chicago for over 20 years. thats why i say he has more experience than her. not all of it must come in a elected position.

Your statement is so vague that I could make that claim about anybody over the age of 30 and pretend he's qualified for President.:|

She was right on the role of VP. There's not a whole lot that the VP can do on his own.

Not really because alot of them say Obama is more Experianced and others say Palin is the TC wants proof on which is more experianced.

I say Palin she did alot in her Political Career she even took on the leader of her Party because she found Corruption with those leaders.

Her main point in Office is to get rid of Corruption (Well that is her biggest experiance) She also got rid of that ridiculous "Bridge to Nowhere"

First of all your question is extremely biased.... "Assuming John McCain will die should he be elected" ***** GTFO. Then get this: If the prez. for one party dies then make the prez. for the other party die too. (Oh yeah.... I forgot Obama is "indestructible" world-citizen.)

Come on seriously, this question and circumstances is extremely Bull with a capital "B". You want to know who is more exp. between ppl looking to be a prez. or a VP. If Obama is the prez. then he don't have too wait like Palin does. Again, your circumstances sucks ***. If you want to do it then be it between Biden and Palin or Obama and McCain.... again, the question don't make sense since the circumstances suck based because one person will automatically be prez. while the other one will be the next in line of prez. in the event that the prez. cannot fufill their duties. *** ****.

But to answer your lame question:

Palin has more expirence in the political world. About 1826 more days than Obama has [five years.... Obama 1997. Palin 1992].

THE CORRECT ANSWER: PALIN

North-North
The TC only created the thread because Obama supporters were trying to deny that she has more experiance then Obama so the TC created this thread with that what if situation because he thinks Palin is more qualified he just wants to know what Obama did to actually deserve being called more qualified then Palin.

Palin all the way. She did a lot while she was in office in Alaska, and she knows how to, at least at a basic level, hold a leadership position. I think she is perfectly suited to be a VP, and assuming she has a little time before McCain dies (as stated in the OP) I think she could easily handle being president.

About the video: I don't think she meant "VP? what is that? Is that like cheezeburger?". It sounded more like "What exactly will be my dutiies, because I have major plans". Also, I think the better question is this: Does Obama know what being President entails?

Of course he does. WTF, he would not run for a position if he didn't know what it entailed. Its not like Obama is some retarted child who somehow out-campained the toughest democrat family ever. My god people, Obama is a fairly smart guy, surronded by world calss advisors. He has spent most of his life thinking, talking, and acting on and about serious issues. He has been a more productive human than 95% of the people I know, and probably 99% of the people on this board. Do you know what being president entails? My guess is no.

I find it absolutely ridiculous to be comparing the Dems candidate for PRESIDENT to the Reps candidate for VICE PRESIDENT. This seriously just shows how WEAK Obama really is.

And if you look at their accomplishments, Palin has fought for REAL change and has actually produced the type of change that Barack Obama can only talk about.

McCain/Palin for REAL change

Obama/Biden for a Hollywood production

What she really means is irrelevant when it comes to politics and public opinion. How many times has a politician's poorly worded statement come back to do some real damage to their political careers? It happens a lot.

I'd have to say Palin. At least she's running a state. The majority of Obama's time in his current position he's been running for president. Suffice it to say he hasn't done his job.

OBAMA?

Yeah Obama!! Did I say that wrong or something? Instead of compairing Obama who is running for President to McCain who is running for President, Dems are compairing him to the Rep VP because they know McCain whoops him in the experience department.

IMO, Palin forces Dems to either:

1. admit Obama is also too inexperienced for the job.

2. continue to engage in the "experience" debate, thus casting doubt on their guy for POTUS.

3. barring #2, they will then tacitly admit their inexperienced guy is the guy running for POTUS and the Rep newbie is a VP nominee.

There is no way the Dems can win that argument. They got painted into a corner.

People do their research. Attempt to grab Hillary supporters? Yeah, they went with the far-right Conservative who opposes abortion, gay marriage and advocates the death penalty; I'm certain it was for the Hillary supporters!

It was for the Conservatives who believed McCain to be too moderate, and it worked.

Sure, she'll get some Hillary supporters as well, mainly the more conservative ones.

Seriously man, many of them are so fanatical that they're voting for McCain just to vote against Obama and now they'll feel even more comfortable because they're forcing women through "the glass ceiling". Also, after sitting undecided for some time and watching a documentary about Obama's life I've come to the conclusion that he's a guy who's in it to make our nation a better place. He's not a liar whatsoever or at least doesn't purposefully do so. He's had a lot of life experience and really is an every man, having taken drugs in his younger years but not doing anything especially jarring and has helped in many forms of community and social advancement.

I really did use to love McCain, but he's a different person than he was even a year ago. He's started deflecting questions and just generally started to seem like a man with something to hide which is horrible. It makes me sad that he's changed the way he has and even with has vast experience I'd much rather just have an honest guy with good intentions making the decisions. I mean it's not like he has to know everything anyway. The president has countless advisors and must merely determine the best course of action from what is told to him and I believe that Obama would make better decisions in general for our country. And Palin... I have yet to read/watch anything about her. So why am I here? I don't know... good day then

It indeed will draw hilary supporters, I like how people think voters actually do research, I'd go so far to say, 50% of Hilary supporters were only voting for her because she was a woman.. And those are the people McCain is trying to reach out to.

It indeed will draw hilary supporters, I like how people think voters actually do research, I'd go so far to say, 50% of Hilary supporters were only voting for her because she was a woman.. And those are the people McCain is trying to reach out to.

Many people preferred her platform over Obama's. Especially since he hasn't much substantial to say. Change is good...yay!

Her platform IS his platform.

I have to say Obama but not by much. If Palin received a quarter of the hype Obama receives, McCain would win. It's funny how young people get so much attention. We really put too much faith in attraction.

I also don't know if this has been posted before, but I found this through Theokhoth's link to the John Stewart show. It's a John McCain ad which easily shows that Biden is a bit two-face almost as much as Obama.

Palin's honesty about not knowing how exactly intricate the VP works > Biden's dishonesty

[QUOTE="Pirate700"]It's sad for Obama that his experience is so lacking he has to be compared to a vise presidential candidate. :lol:Theokhoth

And even then, he still falls short. . . .

Sounds like bias to me~

He started the thread without much of a bias then he proceeded with his opinion in later replies.
