Obama Trashed as a War Criminal in Irish Parliament

In an address to the Irish Parliament earlier this month, politician Clare Daly lambasted Irish leaders for "slobbering" and fawning over Obama and his wife.

And she didn't mince words in her characterization of Obama as a war criminal. :)

Highlights:

1:15: "Is this person [Obama] going for the Hypocrite of the Century award? Because we have to call things by their right names and the reality is that, by any serious examination, this man is a war criminal."

2:02: "This is the man who has facilitated a 200% increase in the use of drones, which have killed thousands of people including hundreds of children."

2:25: [To politician Enda Kenny] "... you have showcased us [The Irish] as a nation of pimps, prostituting ourselves in return for a pat on the head."

3:15: [To Enda Kenny] "What steps are you going to take to showcase this country not as a lapdog of US imperialism, but as an independent nation with an independent foreign policy which takes a lead in international diplomacy to outlaw the use of drones, the favorite method of extermination of your friend Mr Obama?"

I really hate to use this phrase, but she REALLY need to check her privileges.

This is the crux of all that is wrong with the modern liberal movement, and why I'm starting to get the impression that for 95% of the people, the whole concept of liberalism is nothing but a trend they follow because the talking heads in the magic black box told them so.

They did the same thing with nuclear energy. Nuclear energy was potentially dangerous. Rather than organizing protests to force the government to pass tighter regulations on the industry, make them follow stricter safety protocols, they organized protests which went all "HURR, BAN EVERYTHING NUCLEAR, FOREVER!" Now we have no safe nuclear energy, no alternative energy solutions in sight, and an ecosystem utterly devastated by the coal and oil energy production. Congratulations.

"HURR, DRONES BAD, BAN ALL DRONES!!".

Fine, we'll ban them. Rather than enforcing stricter rules of engagement on the operators and spotters, we'll just ban it altogether.

And the next time we need a precision strike on target, we'll just move in a manned jet on location to hit it, thus doing the exact same thing, only with quadrupled costs. And with the same bad rules of engagement, which were the actual problem from the get-go...

No, I am referring to the ones where drone strikes are being used that everyone is complaining about. As far as Syria goes, why are you calling the rebels terrorists (yes, I am aware that Al-Quaeda are now operating in Syria now and most likely are doing exactly that) when rebels in Egypt were not called terrorists when they were fighting to overthrow Mubarak? How about those rebels in Libya that overthrew Khadaffi? Are they terrorists too?

Well, for starters, the rebels in Egypt didn't execute captives and eat their internal organs on camera. More importantly, though, the Egyptian rebels were actually Egyptian, while the Free Syrian Army is composed mostly of Sunni Islamists from the NATO puppet nations of the GCC (like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, etc.) and from Libya.

How about those rebels in Libya that overthrew Khadaffi? Are they terrorists too?

Exactly. I don't agree with his actions either nor his use of chemical weapons. Finding rebels that are not part of terrorists groups that have infiltrated the country to fight against Assad makes it harder to get any arms to those who really need them as was done in Libya. What Assad is doing is no different than what Saddam Hussein did while he was in power, especially after Desert Storm.

He's trying to defend a modern, secular nation that has, for decades, been tolerant of all religions (including Christianity and Judaism) from fanatics who want to establish a Sunni Islamic theocracy.
