Official Skyfall Hype/Release Thread (Out in the UK and NA!)

Won't be able to see it till the end of the month. Can't wait to see it though.

I saw it at a midnight screening. I thought it was an awesome movie overall. Definitely better than Quantum of Solace but I think Casino Royale was a tad better.

[spoiler] The resemblance between this and Nolan's TDK/TDKR is very noticeable. The villain, Javier Bardem was fantastic and reminded me of the Joker. Also was he supposed to be Jaws or something because when he took his teeth out his face transformed into like an extremely similar Jaws face. Also I feel like the finale was kind of a let down. It had this huge build up to a huge climax and then it just vanished. I think the story could have been better, I didn't like the fact that the whole time it was just Javier trying to kill M. His death was really cheap too. Since he was an ex-MI6 I expected like a fist fight between him and Bond or some epic death, not just a knife in the back.

That reminds me, there were barely any fight scenes in the movie, not as much as the previous ones. [/spoiler]

Hoping it doesn't suck

Saw it; was disappointed. Self concious to the point of being juvenile and tries too hard to recreate the mass appeal of a Christopher Nolan movie. Not nearly as intelligent as Casino Royale.

I did a marathon. They were all great. If I had to rank them, it'd go : Casino Royale> QOS=Skyfall. I love QOS and Skyfall equally, but CR takes the cake. I need to go see it again though. Not a lot of talk about the ending, WTF? It made me sad but hopeful. I dunno about how I feel about the new... person in a position of power. Don't know how to spoiler.

I saw it this evening, I felt it was the best bond film due to the strong villian performance.

I was actually quite surprised at how good the script was particularly the dialogue in Q and Bond's first meeting. The movie has so many quotables.

I loved the dr no references, probably in my top 3 bond movies, after You only live twice and Octocensor

Nicely done. It's on pace to become the franchise's highest grossing entry.

England is f*cked.

It was an OK James Bond film.. but for me there was alot missing. The only smart and what felt new was when the guy was touching up James Bond, because to my memory when had never seen anything like that, and it put something fresh and new on to the screen. It was a bit of a "woah what the hell is going on" instead of the insert, empty pointless threats that never follow through.

Things like the subway seemed totally wrong as well, I knew right at the end that there would be more problems..., why was there no back-up, why didnt the main guy just blow up the house, why this, why that, why honestly half the film.

Finally it felt sooooooooooo long winded. The "old" felt slightly forced, hardly any cool gadgets, zero new cars oh and the effects seemed pretty poor.

I get the feeling there will be a new one very soon, purely because of the new people and the fact that Mr Craig imo, isn't aging well for this role.

Went to watch it last night it was awesome, I was suprised how many people was at the cinema, it was full so I got a bad seat. Its been out for a few weeks WTF, normally theres only like 2 people, must of been because I went at night.
