You need exercise and diet to lose a lot of weight. Summer is coming so there is no excuse not to go jogging. If it is too hot outside jog in the early morning or after sunset. Start off with short sprints and work your way up from there.

Why don't you do something totally crazy like exercise?
Digital_Ghost
I've been walking in a retention area near my house, but since living in a state that has insane heat during the spring and summer it's hard to do that, and the insane heat has already started. And being in the poor house, I'm not going to be ripped off by a gym.
You don't need to go to a gym to lose weight.1. Revise your eating habits: Drink a lot more water, no carbonated beverages. Limit your fast-food to at most once per week, unless you already don't eat the stuff. Eat less red meat, more chicken and fish. None of what I've mentioned here should be any issue. if it is, you're just not willing to put in minimal effort for decent results. A person's diet can be a big reason for being overweight, and it's easy to change. And contrary to popular belief, you don't need to starve yourself to lose weight, just revise what you're eating and continue to eat in regular intervals so you keep your metabolism going. The diet never ENDS though. It's a lifestyle decision.
2. Get more exercise. You're in a hot climate? Do it indoors as much as possible. Crunches work. Situps work, but cardio is quite important. If you can fit an early morning jog into your schedule before the heat is too crazy, then do that. If that means not staying up as late, so be it. More cardio you can do at home is jump rope, which is easy to learn and you can actually play games like seeing how many in a row you get. you have a staircase? Go up and down it for 20 minutes. Practice dance while listening to music. There are PLENTY of ways to do cardio at home, most just don't look, or don't want to feel embarassed. People look at me weird when I'm in my kitchen dancing while making my lunch(kitchen is right at the front of my house, I air it out and leave the door open with the screen closed). Whatever, I'm getting exercise and I'm having fun.
3. Make sure you eat in regular intervals. Don't eat too much in one go. Keep your portions reasonable and let your body adapt to that. People these days eat far too much and with larger gaps between eating. Breakfast - Snack - Lunch - Snack - Dinner - Snack should be par for the course, with each snack being something half-decent for you, or at least not real harmful. I like fruit. It's relatively inexpensive especially during the harvest season if you can get it locally at a farmer's market.
If you're eating good food, getting exercise, and eating regularly, then your metabolism will thank you and may step it up a notch to only further progress your efforts. if you're young still, it'll be easier to get that metabolism back if you used to have it(seeing as you said you were thin before, I'd imagine you did)
im actually planning to weight up this year...I already weighted 2 kilos....now 11 more to go...I'm curently overweight and have tried dieting and it was difficult I've even considered weight loss surgery. It's not that I'm extremly obese, but I need to do something about it so I'm going on nutra system and I'm going to stick to it. I can recall being thin when I was a kid I looked pretty damned good I'm still a good looking guy the real me wants to break free. I would like to be able to fit into a pair of cowboy boots and be able to wear a cowboy hat without looking like a total idiot, I'd like to go to my first Dwight Yoakam concert in style. Anyway, who else here is overweight, and do you plan on getting your weight off this year?

I'm losing weight too, so I used the "diet" as an excuse to do as much work around the house as my time and money would allow. I started last monday, and so far I've removed my old driveway with a sledgehammer (I'm replacing it with dirt this weekend), built a retaining wall (I still need to finish the caps tomorrow), moved my sister into a new house, and I hope to have my flagstone patio completed by the end of Sunday.
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]200 calories is not going to make you fat. His posts seem more based on speculation than actual trial and observation... If one person drinks beer often and suddenly quits and starts drinking more water it will be a difference in the calories consumption, that's how the diet drinks work, under the asumption that the person drinks the regular version often so drinking the diet version will give a notable difference.[QUOTE="dragon7x2k"] But is the truth, maybe people think that just because is liquid it can't make you get fatter but it's possible.rawsavon

I think you should join a gym and make small changes to your diet at a time. Nutra system doesn't work and isn't that healthy for you
1. Drink lots of water before you sleep and when you wake up, rarely drink anything except water. This will increase your metabolism..Jamiemydearx3I need to gain weight, if anything, but this will certainly help me in the future! Thankies =D

As we like to say in Australia ''Harden the **** up''. The Heat will make you sweat more, which is the only way you will lose weight. Please Log In to post.
