Bush is always on time, Obama is always late. People disagree over why Obama is always late: Some say he is arrogant, some say disorganized, others say because he stops to accomodate average citizens. President Clinton used to be late a lot too, and Obama's press Secretary seems to be late a lot. Some have said that if Obama's popularity drops (which I think it has slightly) that eventually people on Capitol hill will leave if he's not on time. Obama used to be late as a senator, often apologizing for missing important meetings or for asking "repetitive" questions.

Obama has done nothing any more positive than bush so far. In fact his new stimulus has probably done more damage. If Bush pushed out a stimulus package with this many problems everybody would have wanted him impeached or something.

Well, saying it has done more damage has probably gone to far, but after Obama came into office and the stimulus was released was basically when the economy seemed to start sliding downwards(if i remember correctly). But what I was talking about with stimulus problems was that The CEOs still got there anual bonuses got to ride jets and the government basically has little control on what they spend the money on. If Bush did that people would freak out at him. But Obama seems to be immune to criticism for most people which really bugs me.

Well, to be fair I don't know of the stimulus causing any problems. I think I remember sometime in May or June the Administration admitted that only "5%" of the stimulus money had been sent out yet despite that Obama in February had said the stimulus money would go to "shovel-ready" projects (Obama must be late again!). By the way my family still has not gotten the stimulus check even though Obama in January said "the check's in the mail" (maybe the mailman got laid off)

well, put it this way when Bush was president, I heard the economy was bad but it didn't seem to be affecting anyone I knew. In the period between Obama's election and Inauguration two people I know lost their Jobs. After Obama became President: In my city alone one private school closed and 13 public school teachers got laid off (my cousin almost was one of those who got laid off) and my aunt's boyfriend was laid off (and then rehired, and then laid off again and now I don't know ).

Exactly, just a little while after the stimulus was released things started getting worse. Its hard to deny it, and people would freak out at Bush, but not Obama. I just cant understnad it.

I find it funny how everyone quits reading after seeing "Fox News", however if there was an article praising Obama from MSNBC, CNN, The Washington Post, New York Times, L.A. Times etc. etc. Everyone would listen in claiming how "unbiased" the article was.

As for the difference between Obama and Bush, you would think it would be obvious. One is a Fascist and the other was a Socialist.

The stimulus package was said to prevent Unemployment rate from going past 8%, while here we are with an Unemployment of 10% and Obama's Cabinet is already having discussions about taking out another Stimulus Package.

There was a deficit of 400 billion at the end of 2008. Now we are in debt of over 2 trillion dollars on top of the Health Care program Obama wants to put into effect as well as the Second Stimulus bill that is in the works.

Already every American tax payer is in debt to the Government of over $90,000.00 that is born today.

So WMDs are BS. And don't say Saddam didn't have WMDs, he used Biological weapons against the Kurds and the Iranians. By the way Bush didn't start a war, according to a book about Bush by John Podhoretz the terms the "treaty" at the end of the Gulf War were a cease-fire, which means that technically the war never permanently ended. If Saddam failed to comply with the terms of the cease-fire, the U.S. president could re-engage Iraq. Clinton used these provision to bomb Iraq in the 1990s, Bush used these provisions as well as Congressional authorization (Supported among others by Sens. Kerry and Clinton) to liberate Iraq.

So then, what did he use against the kurds, his ass? Anyway just because we didn't find any doesn't mean he didn't have them, perhaps he just hid them well or maybe sent them to Syria or N. Korea. Do you honestly think the Mid-East would be more stable with Saddam in power?

In general the world is better off without Husseins being in power.

That was 1988. We invaded in 2003. His info was quite a bit outdated, obviously. And, as Iran's biggest counter, the middle-east probably was more stable with him in power.

Maybe because most Obama supporters pretend that any information that shows that Obama is not doing so well is fake (probably why they are afraid of fox news)

They post wrong information all the time. No other news source makes me laugh as much as Fox. Their "contributors" often make generalizations about items with which they have little experience or expertise. I'm not saying that the other main US TV networks are much better, but Fox is by far the worst.

[QUOTE="Delsage"][QUOTE="Engrish_Major"] Nope, I read it correctly. I do check periodically to see if Fox starts to not suck, but that has yet to happen.whipassmt

What exactly do you make this basis on? What exactly has Fox news got wrong? Or is it because they don't support your views so you make these accusations.

Bingo! Keno!

Obviously not. See my post on your MSNBC thread.

[QUOTE="Engrish_Major"][QUOTE="whipassmt"]U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan don't counter Iran?whipassmt

Not seemingly. Iraq actually was engaged in a war with Iran for many years. We hardly have the resources to do so right now.

We don't need to, they're fighting each other any way.

That's beside the point.
